DVD : Elton John - Elton 60 - Live From Madison Square Garden [Blu-ray] [2007]
Hey fantastic show I have the DVD and I was so Happy Mr John took the time and realised that all the old stuff its what us punters want to hear.
His Live shows are legendary and to have all this materail is fantastic. So I purchaed the Blue Ray Disc expecting to be blowen away with sound. What the hell is PCM 5.1?!?! My apmlifier thinks its PCM 2.0 no matter what I try. There are 2 options PCM 2.0 and PCM 5.1. "Its still sterio to me but I'm indifferent". Stick with the DVD version, it IS in 5.1 with the DTS option. It's filmed in HD so the DVD is going to shine when played on a Blue Ray player. Sooooooooooo disapointed!

Things you need to get the most out of this DVD:

1.Intermediate guitar playing skills - Danny Gill covers each note and repeats sections as if you were following a lesson, however a good basic knowledge of pentatonic scales, basic barre chords and some unusual chords like the `Hendrix' chord will help you progress quicker and not get so lost

2.A remote control for your DVD player - whilst each stage in shown and repeated you'll definitely be rewinding to replay certain bits (much to the annoyance of anyone else in the room!)

3.A guitar - tennis racket air guitar wont get you very far

4.A mirror and bandana - well lets face it, once you master this DVD its time to rock out even if your front room isn't ... Read More:

WoW!!!! The Voice still has it! This concert is Fabulous! The range of songs performed are varied, ranging from his standard classics to the Reload era with a sprinkling of others thrown in for extra good measure. Tom certainly performs, and shows us why he's still one of the all time greatest, handling a range of songs from all era's masterfully. And if you think this is great, just go and see him for yourself Live in person....You'll be knocked off your feet!!
There'll never be another performer like Sir Tom x

Is this really necessary, I won't talk about how bad this DVD is.
All I can say is that REAL U2 fans like me would'nt half mind seeing POPmart released on DVD rather than the exctinct VHS.

This is a great DVD, featuring the late Maurice Gibb - the music starts off very up beat, then slows in the middle when the 3 brothers sing with just Barry on Guitar, brill, then the tempo picks up again, truly a great entertaining perforamance, dated now, but still worth the watching, over and over again - 5 stars

This is an important item for a completist fan of the fabs. All performances are shown from all 4 Ed Sullivam shows. The band plays live for all performances - and you see John infamously "playing" the keyboard with his elbows on "I'm Down". Since the performances are live, the recording highlights how simple sound production was as the time - for example, as the camera rises above Paul to focus in on Ringo, the drums actually get louder (as the mic was presumably located on the same boom!).
The difference between the 1964 and 1965 performances is marked - both in the songs they play and their stage presence (and length of their hair!) they have visibly grown.
Ed Sullivan has nothing but compliments to pour of the four and describes how well-behaved ... Read More:
