The Lion King...deep,moving,inspirational,and beautiful...not to mention hilarious too. artistic and wonderful...an aweinspiring Disney classic. my #1 favourite Disney film of all time. the songs range from hilarious to moving. the artwork is at its very,very best and shows the sheer beauty of Africa...and the animals of the wild look so very realistic. its an incredible masterpiece of a film...and demands more than 100 viewings. a sheer beautiful class act from the Disney studios...and by far the most breathtaking film i have ever seen. seriously.

Some people consider "Bug's Life" as not being on the same level of quality as other Pixar productions, but I really can not agree with them. My daughter clearly wouldn't agree either. This is a very funny movie, with a lot of interesting innovations (we will never look at bugs in the same way, me and my family) and a kind of surprising kindness - even the bad guys are shown with some understanding (having chosen the life of parasite racketeers, they are now trapped by it - as much as their ant victims). The principal hero is possibly one of the most likeable characters I ever saw. I don't write many reviews, but really felt motivated with 'Spider-man and his amazing friends', because it brings back some really fond memories. I used to love this cartoon and couldn't wait for it to be on. I seem to remember that the early 1980's, the BBC childrens schedules had a Spiderman cartoon at about 4:30 on mondays, alternating between runs of the amazing friends and the solo Spiderman series. Much as I loved the amazing friends, I did prefer the solo Spidey adventures, which seemed to have a more serious (?!) edge. I know another reviewer here has mentioned the solo series, so I hope it gets a release. This review is based on watching the "original theatrical version" (1977) which is on the Bonus Disc in this 2 Disc DVD. There is stellar charm from C3PO, R2D2, Princess Leia, Skywalker, and Hans Solo. The pace of the film is also very good. The audience follows the story much through the eyes of narrators C3PO and R2D2. That, ladies and gentleman, is why this film is pretty innovative. Star Wars doesn't really become truly galactic until Empire Strikes Back.

It has taken me a long, long time to love The Wiggles. I bought this dvd for our (now 2 year old) daughter after seeing The Wiggles on Tarrant On TV, and deciding that if I had to watch a kids dvd, I might as well get in a few jingoistic laughs. The first 15 times I watched it with my daughter, I smirked through Crunchy Munchy Honeycakes, laughed with great triumph at Hot Potato and hurriedly pressed Fast Forward when the Wiggles Puppets appeared. The next 15 times I watched it, I found myself marvelling at how absorbed our daughter was, and I started associating The Wiggles with a rare sense of peace and quiet. I love the Harry Potter books and enjoy all the films. The only problem is that as the books are getting longer more & more is getting cut out when they're made into films. I'd rather have this film longer & have all the story in. Still fantastic though!

I love the Harry Potter books and enjoy all the films. The only problem is that as the books are getting longer more & more is getting cut out when they're made into films. I'd rather have this film longer & have all the story in. Still fantastic though!
