Shaggy and Scooby get on the wrong plane when en route to meet the rest of the Mystery Inc. gang in Paris and end up lost in the Himalayas while an abdominal snowman is on the loose. There is the usual amount of suspects and motives but it's just fresh enough to prevent the plot from becoming tiresome.

The animation just gets better and better with each entry in the Scooby-Doo series and the bright colors and active sound design are a long way from the grainy TV show back in 1969 (though that still has its charm). Fans of the series will be glad to hear that the character of Dell Chillman from Scooby Doo And The Loch Ness Monster [2004] returns for this one, giving some continuity to the otherwise unrelated mysteries.

I was watching a different film on the long flight back from New Zealand but could see EIGHT BELOW on the screen of the man sitting in the row infront of me. I kept being distracted from my film and found myself squinting between the seats and watching the beautiful Huskies and the fantasic scenery on the screen infront, even without sound it looked a fantastic film so when the man finished watching it, I asked him what it was. I then searched for it on my screen, found it and sat spellbound watching it. It's full of hardship, hope and triumph over adversity, one of those sad but happy films that keeps your attention til the end, and you definately need a tissue handy. When it ended, I just watched it all over again, and when I got home it was ... Read More:

Here is what is wrong about these dvds warner bros(greedy brothers) have put out:

They have decided to make each disc (on most discs & most golden collection volumes) have the same character over and over which gets right on your funbags after a while. The looney tunes unique selling point has always been that each episode is followed by a different character. This stops you getting bored of watching the same character over and over again, which makes the characters stay fresh and interesting. i have NEVER watched looney tunes on tv where the same charcter is repeated, have you? no thought not, and when you do like the greedy brothers have forced you to here, if you wanna watch dvd quality looney tunes which we all do, it becomes ... This is an excellent product. I got this when my little girl was a few months old, but unlike some of the other reviewers' children, my girl wasn't glued to the set. Don't get me wrong, she was interested but not fascinated. At 17 months now in September '07 I have started to put it back on for her and she is now transfixed by it. I was amazed by how quickly she was picking up on things, shouting "Choo" when the train comes on (as it often does) and how excited she gets when the furry animals come on.

I have just ordered the box set as I wanted the baby shakespeare for her and the box set was a bargain compared to getting them all individually.

My advice to all parents and uncles/aunts/godparents and grandparents is that ... Read More:

DVD : Lady And The Tramp (2 Disc Special Edition) [1955]
I regard Lady and The Tramp as one the best Disney classics that I have watched. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this classic. Disney has delivered a masterpiece with this fine piece of animation feature length.

Lady and The Tramp truly reflects the key values and qualities of what Disney films entail, which include endless humour, uplifting music and colourful characters. The storyline is a sweet romantic tale about two loveable dogs; a Lady (Spaniel) and Tramp (Irish terrier) and the innocence of this special bonding is something to really admire. The setting of the movie is based in the 1950's, which is beautifully delivered with wonderful animation you can highly praise within that specific time. With technology highly available today and ... Read More:

I really didn't like this film. I found it a bit boring and overall a bit too cheesy. It was a disappointment because the book was so good. Usually if I like a film, I watch it more than once but this one I really didn't want to see it again. I would rather read the book again. Maybe this film just wasn't my cup of tea, it may be good for other people.

For under a fiver (just!) I think this series of Tom and Jerry DVD's are excellent value. The DVD itself is double-sided, which helps to pack all those great cartoons in, and thankfully their are no adverts at the start; you can be playing in under 20 seconds from when you've put the disc in!

Unfortunately, as I've found with all the Tom and Jerry DVD's so far, is that they've suffered the finger-wagging of middle class citizens who feel the need to place the title of 'Politically Incorrect' or certain aspects of the cartoons. This has resulted in the Black Mama (maid) having her voice completely re-dubbed in many of the cartoons, replaced by a woman who speaks each word in the clearest, most perfect notion, to take away any idea that she has Black Afro/carribean origins. ...
