beautiful movie, based on the theory taht dinosaurs lived even after teh meteorite struck the earth. the decision to combine real life landscape with computer animation fits erally well and i think add to the story

After the disappointment of Eps2 and 3, the Clone Wars goes a long way towards rekindling the excitement I've always associated with Star Wars. It returns to the non-stop action rollercoaster feel of the Luke Skywalker days, where the heroes gallop across the galaxy from one hot spot to the next, light-sabres blazing and blasters, err, blasting. I don't wish to repeat all the astute observations given by the other reviewers. This is indeed an hilarious film, appropriate for all ages, expertly voiced by one of the finest lineups of actors I've seen in an animated adventure. Three reasons to see this film: (1) singing slugs; (2) frog mime; (3) the rest of the film. I consider this to be the world's second most perfect film. Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is still number one. But then, Were-Rabbit has Wallace and Gromit, and was hand-animated. Let's consider this a close second.

As an adult with 2 young daughters it's always an exciting time when a new feature-length Scooby Doo animated film is released (even for the kids!). Whilst this film has great animation as usual, the story just doesn't have much to it compared to the rest of the more recent Warner Bros releases. A few of things that are most obvious are that 1) Shaggy and Scooby feature heavily whilst the rest of the gang don't very much - not a good thing in our household 2) There is no real mystery at all - just what effectively amounts to one long chase 3) It feels like it's just a quick release to tie in with Halloween time and feels a bit one dimensional. Yes this is basically a kids film, but as a 40+ person with no kids who has purchased the DVD, I'll happily own up to being an adult who loves this film. This film set the benchmark for computer animated films when it was released in 1995 and it still looks good today. The story is simple and the characters are marvellous. Whoever thought of the idea that Buzz Lightyear could be a toy who believes he really is a Space Ranger deserved an Oscar. Its a brilliantly conceived idea, which has a funny and at times touching script. Its also worth mentioning the that the songs are by Randy Newman, a vastly underrated musician and songwriter, whose Uncles wrote the music for some the great Hollywood movies of the 40's and 50's. ... I too thought I had a slightly dodgy copy seeing some picture wobble, but I can see from other reviews I'm not alone. That said I would buy it again just as it is, my favourite is good old Windy Miller. I forgot that its not like Postman Pat's more modern animation silly me it was 1966 after all. For the moment my 2 year old daughter prefers Postman Pat, Bob, Sam and the Little Red Tractor but it was as much for me as my kids and I am not disappointed. A bargin price too, no more than a fancy cup of coffee. Go on buy it and remember how it was. I bought Trumpton too, don't miss that one either!

Shaun the Sheep - Saturday Night Shaun is one of those rare things that can be enjoyed by everyone. It makes me laugh out loud, and I've enjoyed watching it as a family with my nieces (aged 8 and 6) and my parents (in their 70s!). Wonderfully observed characters, good story-lines. We watched each short more than once, and everyone had a particular favourite, so it's good value because you want to go back to it again and again.

Shaun the Sheep - Saturday Night Shaun is one of those rare things that can be enjoyed by everyone. It makes me laugh out loud, and I've enjoyed watching it as a family with my nieces (aged 8 and 6) and my parents (in their 70s!). Wonderfully observed characters, good story-lines. We watched each short more than once, and everyone had a particular favourite, so it's good value because you want to go back to it again and again.
