Great film - wonderful photography, but the 'plot' was:~ ? ... Anyway, it was obviously for children, but I'm not sure what they would make of it ... I would very much like to learn more about the production details:~ location, equipment etc. I'm certain that this would be of little or no interest to our more junior film-goers, however some of us adults would like to know? - Why is this information not more easily available?

... and one that far too many people haven't heard of. I believe that this was conventionally animated, when CGI was taking an increasing share of the market. Perhaps because it didn't have the high-definition quality of the Pixar films (think Nemo) Disney never seemed to do much to promote it. However, what it lacked in that area is more than made up for in outstandingly funny script and characterisation - the old-school values of animation. "I've turned into a cow. Can I be excused?" Yeah, the tale is a little hackneyed - an odd couple who need to learn to get along to overcome their enemy - but it is just sooooo funny. WONDERFULL, I recently saw it on the big screen and even though I'd seen it many times before it is one of my favourite films, well into the Top 5. The only slight concern is that no way would the pretty Jean Simmons have turned into Valery Hobson. John Mills was very good but a little weedy compared to the excellent boy who played him as a young Pip. Finlay Currie was fantastic, so scary & even though he was a 'very naughty boy' we still like him, especially when he turns up on Pip's door one wet & windy night after his disappearing act , brurrr! So if you buy the DvD you'll not be disappointed, if you are then you is without soul or heart, 'Dear Boy!'.

Shaun the Sheep is a work of genius, but is this just a tad too expensive? Not much in the way of extras.

my 2yr old daughter loves dora,have a couple of her dvds but mostly watches on nick jnr this dvd has 3 episodes the main one being "dance to the rescue" which is an extended episode recommended to all dora fans

The title says it all, I think and the reviewer who considers it classist and misogynist has obviously failed to see the point of the movie which actually makes fun of these attitudes. Remember the scene at Mrs. Higgin's house or Alfred P. Doolite's remarks on 'middle-class morality' - hardly narrow-minded.
