I don't wish to repeat all the astute observations given by the other reviewers. This is indeed an hilarious film, appropriate for all ages, expertly voiced by one of the finest lineups of actors I've seen in an animated adventure.

Three reasons to see this film:
(1) singing slugs;
(2) frog mime;
(3) the rest of the film.

I consider this to be the world's second most perfect film. Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is still number one. But then, Were-Rabbit has Wallace and Gromit, and was hand-animated. Let's consider this a *close* second.

Alice In Wonderland isn't your average Disney film. It starts off with the posh girl singing with the plants in some park and then daydreams and is sucked into a loopy world where she goes through hundreds of doors and meets loads of odd characters ranging from the loveable white rabbit, the annoying mad hatter and the funny Queen of Hearts.

It's not a disney film that I'd recommend for those just getting into disney as it lacks the innocence and you really have to watch it to understand it whereas the true classics are just great forms of escapism as well as wonderful films. This one however may indeed leave you in Wonderland wondering what on earth it's all about and questioning whether it was worth the money or not. Buy The Little ... Read More:

All of the movies released so far are excellent. I see that other reviewers have covered the story line very well, so I will not. Just let me say that all are very well done, with minor imperfections. The main problems are only two. The first problem is that the books are so massive that pieces have to be left out, this is a shame but I do think that to make a 4 hour movie of these books would make them very tiring to sit through. I had thought of maybe making a part 1 and then 2 but this would not help. This boxed set is the single dvd version of each story, I would prefer the 2 disk versions personally. I have the separately released versions of each movie and am very satisfied with all. The second problem is the acting of the three principals. ... Read More:

For 1,5 year now we have this dvd and still isn't boring at all.Not for my 3,5 year old or for us.I love the voices!!What a gift to be able to tell a story with just enough words and drawings.Story's with humor and tenderness.
Very practical because there many short story's so you can decide how long your child can watch.

Another Harry Potter film and just like the first 2 films this is an enjoyable film whilst being nothing special. In fact this is a little better than the its two prequels which is a reason I enjoyed it more. The story is getting darker, the young actors are getting better and this movie sucked me in more than the other two did. However, I have given it 3/5 just like I did for the other films although I was tempted to give it 4 instead. I have never read the books, so Im not one of these that bores people by saying "its not as good as the book". Enjoy it for what it is .... an enjoyable childrens films that you can happly watch with your kids.

Released in time for the recent Olympic games driven focus on China,or is this too cynical an interpretation?The cartoon has a storyline we have seen lots and lots of times before-"hopeless looser who dreams of glory,gets his big chance and after some difficulty reveals true ability".How many times can this theme be recycled,before we say STOP-enough.So,in this cartoon,instead of a boxer;dancer;singer;karate kid;ogre;surfing penguin or whatever,we have a panda bear and other assorted animals in the usual roles.The story is entirely linear,predictable,with little new to say.The "jokes" are lame,and the baddie gets his just desserts .If you have limited funds to spend on animation films,then give this one a miss,and see it on TV for free.
