This is actually a really great film! My dad took me to see it in the cinema, 'cos he thought it looked good. Even though I think Jack Black is fully amazing, and Jackie Chan is awesome, I didn't think I would enjoy it, since I'm not one for cartoons, even though I'm not that old. I could hardly stop laughing though! It's a great film, for kids and adults, and even the odd teenager, like me! I highly recomend it, if, like me, you love comedies! :)

i understand what pixar and disney were trying to do - promote global issues in a way kids can understand however the ideas are very adult and i wouldnt recommend for kids.
BUT...........
this is a master piece for adults. it has humour, the love story, the real life threats and the general likability factor!! this is a special movie and the first of its kind!! a must see for adult disney fans as we can understand the impacts and the messages that are to advanced for a childrens film. in addition youll end up loving wall-e and wanting to take him home :)

A relative bought this for my daughters 5th birthday & what a waste of good money. My daughter who is a huge fan of Peter Pan wasn`t impressed with this. The animation is good but there is no feasible story line. Disney should have left Tinkerbell in her original form as in Peter Pan. It`s just another rip off sequel.

DVD : Family Guy - Series 7 - Complete
This latest offering from the 'Family Guy' team finds the writers and producers doing their best to be more outrageous than ever before. No celebrity is too big to ridicule and absolutely NO topic is considered too taboo. If this featured real live human beings they would NEVER get away with half of this.

But the acid test is this: when being profane and attacking and offending every minority group in existence, is it actually funny? The short answer is `yes'. This is not merely funny, it is very funny indeed. Rosie O'Donnell features in one particularly insulting sequence, and when Joe has a leg transplant and becomes his old active self, the guys decide the only way to fix things is to `re-cripple him again'.

This is quite literally ... Read More:

DVD : Frankie Boyle Live [2008]
I've watched almost every episode of Mock the Week and think that Frankie Boyle is the true star of the programme. Whilst I respect he's not to everyone's taste his 'close to the knuckle' style of humour always makes me wet myself, although I do sometimes find myself cringing in disbelief at some of the stuff he comes out with.

When I heard he was coming to my home town of Taunton I immediately snapped up tickets to see him. It's not often an act of his stature comes to visit. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the show and was in stitches throughout, as were the rest of the audience from what I could see. Yes, some of the jokes I had heard before on Mock the Week but this only accounted for around 10% of the show. The rest was fresh to my ears and ... Read More:

This has always been my favourite Disney film, and I am so glad it's been given the loving restoration it deserves.

The fantastic detail and 1950s graphic take of gothic and medieval styles is positively breathtaking. For Walt Disney it was ground breaking (and almost bankrupting) to create something so meticulously detailed and stylistically consistent right down to the backgrounds, and the result is beautiful and atmospheric. The extras are all interesting, detailing the conceptual side of things, and added a whole new perspective on what was always my favourite childhood film (even though I was terrified of Maleficent and convinced she was under my bed).

Amazing as the new computer technology is, it just doesn't for me have the artistic soul ... Read More:

Having left my home and native land some 30 years ago to go and live west of the Rockies I was thrilled to be introduced to this series for a birthday present.
The cars, and certainly the gadgets, may be different now, but the characters, the ups and downs of everyday life and all the absurdities are no different. When I was young, we were the Welsh and they - the English - were them. Related, we knew we had to tolerate one another, but at times it was a challenging truce (perhaps like the relationships in the series?)!
Now looking at England and Wales from the outside many years later, the two have far more in common than differences. However, in North America, Britain is called 'England' and I'm quite often asked if I'm English. "No" I reply, more in an educational tone than ... Read More:

I had no idea what to expect from this movie, but the trailers looked interesting. This movie is an interesting angle, making a superhero with all too human floors. What you should not expect is a Marvel or DC comics movie, probably much more of an all American feelgood movie. Will Smith gives a good performance as our misguided superhero with a good supporting cast and good effects, makes for a nice easy watching movie.

I love Bill Bailey's previous work, and I couldn't wait to buy this DVD. I had just finished watching it and all I can say is that I found it really disappointing. It had none of the energy and originality of his previous shows and the comedy definitely suffered as a result. As someone who laughed til I cried at his earlier stuff, I think I only laughed out loud twice during this DVD.
It is clever and expensive, but not actually that funny. It seemed to me that he was just re-using old material and not doing it as well as he did it the first time around.
I have read a few reviews of the live show and people seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed it so I am now wondering if the DVD was badly edited, filmed on an off-night, or whether the problem is with me. Maybe it will grow on me in ... Read More:
