I'd heard nothing about this film before watching it other than the general consensus that it was one of the funniest films that many had ever seen in their life, so obviously I went in with high expectations that couldn't fail but be dissapointed. It's not that the film isn't funny, because it is when you're in the right mood and with the right group of friends, but its not clever, witty humour like I was expecting, instead it was an invitation to laugh at Ali G making an idiot of himself for an hour and a half. I know there are many complaints about the sexist + racist comments made in the film, but come on, the films not discriminating againts certain racial groups, it's discriminating against just about everyone and everything! Not a film ... Read More:

Unfortunately, this is miles away from being as good as the books or the first film. They changed the plot so they could shoe-horn Hugh Grant into the film (and a not very good fight scene with Colin Firth as well). But so much worse is the sense that Bridget has been made into a figure of fun, rather than someone who was funny because we related to her. Not funny, not romantic, even Colin Firth is less lovely in this film.

Season 3 was thoroughly enjoyed both by myself and by my children, although some of the sexual content is a little mature for younger children. The classification is 12, but there is a high level of sexual references and some non-explicit sex scenes, and some parents may feel uncomfortable with that at the younger end of the classification.
It's basically more of the same from seasons 1 and 2, although there is some development of the characters and in the storylines. However, you don't watch Scrubs for the drama, you watch it for the comedy, and on this point is scores very highly, with loads of very funny jokes, interactions and visual jokes - if you have this on while doing something else and don't actually watch the screen, you will miss ... Did not get into Skins until the second series so missed a lot of the best parts of it. I watched a couple of episodes of the second series and was blown off during it. As such missed a lot of it so decided to get the box set and have not regretted. I watched the whole first series in a single sitting - amazing. When it came to the second series I was thinking no way could they match the first but all credit to 4, Skins is a real pull back and a great drama. Get it and don't look back for Skins is good.

First off I'm a massive fan of seinfeld, the first 7 series were brilliant, but the final 2 were not as good, due to david stepping down from writing in my eyes,
Still a funny series, kramer is funnier and gets more story time, which is the highlight for me, but overall the writing was nothing special and the final episode had to be one of the most dissapointing ends ever, i mean, just sooo bad, i really hated the finale, but i personally do not think of that if anyone asked me about seinfeld, i say its one of the best shows ever.
I still recomend this dvd as its still better than most comedies out there, and like i said if you love kramer, you'l enjoy his antics in this series.

Take an excellent story by an expert writer and you can guarantee that once in the hands of the film makers they will ruin it. This film is an abomination further ruined by an appalling sound track, poor acting and an excecrable screenplay. My advice is to avoid this film like the plague and buy the book!

There are funnier things than Friends on television, but nothing as long-lasting and consistently funny. In Season 8, the acting and directing (as well as visual quality) have improved from the early series, whilst it has lost none of its inventiveness and sparkle.
The season kicks off right after Monica & Chandler's "I do" and with the finding that Rachel is with child. Her pregnancy comes up in all 24 episodes. From the identity of the father ("Oh no- don't tell me it's her!"), to the possibility of marriage ("What, because that's your answer to everything?") and breaking the news to the parents (I particularly loved Rach explaining to her father why Ross won't marry her: "He says I'm damaged goods"). The question comes up: can the pair commit themselves to raising ... Read More:

Ugly Betty is easily one of the best comedy shows of recent years and despite winning various awards including Emmys and Golden Globes, is criminally unwatched by many viewers.

The second series picks up exactly where the last one left off - the fate of Santos (Kevin Alejandro), Hilda's (Ana Ortiz) boyfriend is revealed, the true result of Daniel (Eric Mabius) and Alexis' (Rebecca Romijn) accident becomes clear and Wilhelmina (Vanessa Williams) is still plotting to marry Bradford and take over from Daniel as Editor of Mode - and is just as charming, bright, bubbly and melodramatic as ever.

Ferrera cannot be beat as Betty, oozing with charm and appeal to create a truly lovable character who is very hard to dislike. Betty's relationship with Henry (Christopher Gorham) ... Read More:

I'd been eagerly awaiting this DVD having missed the opportunity to go and see the show in Edinburgh, as I had done with 90s Comedian. I was, like other reviewers here, disappointed that the Delboy bit and the Mallard bit were missing as I had read reviews referring to them. It's perhaps more disappointing for me as I didn't get to hear those routines at all.

Stylistically this is closer to Stand-Up Comedian than 90s Comedian, the latter of which seemed to form one cohesive narrative and was like a single hour-long routine, while the former was a collection of routines. This set has a sort of narrative running through it about how Stew's mum thinks he's not as funny as an old 70s comedian she saw on a cruise holiday once, but essentially it's divided into sections.
