Does anybody know what is on Disc 2? I suspect there might be some extras and I am hoping one of which is the documentary Shadowing the Third Man, but would like to know for sure before I buy it. Shame that Amazon is sometimes so lax about product descriptions. I have watched this film five or six times on an old VHS version and every time I watch it, I discover something new and enthralling. The film is superb, bigger than life and definitely one of the greatest ever made!

As you can tell from the other people's reviews this movie is brilliant!! But what is not said (at least I don't think so! I didd'nt read all 100+ reviews!) is the picture quality! i'm using a Toshiba 47" 1080i LCD HDTV with a PlayStation3 with HDMI connection. For a DVD it's got AMAZING detail! I'm surprised they managed to fit this 3 hour film with this quality onto a DVD!! I have a collection of around 500 DVDs & this must be in the top 5 of best picture quality in my selection! Buy it! you won't regret it! (or wait for the Blu-ray)

As the title says, what more could you ask for, the full complete 24 seasons 1-6 in it's entirety, every episode is packed with explosive action and interesting facts, Life for CTU Agent Jack Bauer is never dull, and hold on tight for the ride of your life, I couldn't of asked for a better Boxset collection, I also love the casing it came in, plus the individual casings for the CD's, I dunno why so many people are complaining about it, Overall if you are a fan of the 24 series then this is a must!, for just over £100 its a bargin considering you'd probably pay double that and more for buying it in a shop, only let down wish there was more features, maybe a full length featurette and outtakes, but overall I am so glad I bought this, it will forever be ... I wish to buy the complete collection but am not sure which one to buy. Besides the difference in quality as ppl have pointed out, I also notice the cast to be different. The 2008 version casts Jeremy Brett as holmes, does it have Edward Hardwick/David Burke as Watson? Please comment and I'll place my order. Thank you - Ravi

I have just finished watching this set. I had seen some early episodes originally but watched all again. It is almost a bit "Lost on Mars" as the early series now do seem dated or rather perfectly portraying that time - the early 1990s. I found myself watching the clothes of DCI Tennison and of course the ageing of her in her character with all the trials and tribulations faced by a woman in the police force and in her personal life. She is a demanding , admirable yet imperfect character and it is heart wrenching to see the last episode when retirement beckons. Absolutely fantastic performance by Helen Mirren and of course the rest who make their characters just so believable!

Very entertaining film that tricks you into believing Miss Tautou is playing that sweet, quirky victim trapped in an imperfect world again. But that would be so predictable, albeit nice. Instead, as it happens, she's barking and quite sinister to boot....however, this is Audrey Tautou and she does barking and sinister in a way that makes you smile.....mmmmm ahhhh....as for the rest of said cast, plot, la-di-da....yeah.... pretty damn good too.

When a 12 year old black girl is raped, beaten and almost murdered by two racist, redneck pigs, the little girl's father shoots both of them dead whilst they are being taken to trial. He committed murder, he is as guilty as sin and nobody believes otherwise. On the contrary in fact, the main question in this film is whether a black man should be allowed to take vengeance against whites. Indeed, having based the defendant's entire case on the lie that he was 'temporarily insane,' the killer's attorney spells out this fact at the end of the film by asking the jury to imagine the little girl's attack and then asking "NOW IMAGINE SHE'S WHITE." This is without doubt the best series however it recieved heavy criticism due to the level of violence depicted. However although the violence is graphic and often uncomfortable to watch it is crucial for the development of the characters. Furio in particular has a challenging moral dillema which keeps the viewer on a razors edge throughout!

If you like crime shows, working out who did it, character led action, great acting, interesting characters and fancy american shows then start from series one, sit down with an IV drip, a potty for your doings and a big load of haribo and watch straight through to this series. It's fanciful, it's fun, it's big and it's good. I wouldn't recommend it if you hate all of the above. But then you're not worth recommending anything to anyway. Oh, and P.S. it's not 24
