The Only other successful Re-Imagining of a Classic Show other than this is DOCTOR WHO. But BATTLESTAR GALACTICA has done well as a sci-fi drama kicking the original out of the Galaxy. A True Representation of Television made good. When I first heard of it i thought "Yet again, They'll screw it up." But the New version grabbed me from the Pre Title on the Miniseries right until the Cliffhanger. starting on the First Season Currently then moving on to seasons 2 & 3 (Already Seen RAZOR - Not a Bad Film). some of the many things this version has over the original is the fact that the Galactica is a ship that was meant to be put in mothballs. The Mighty Boosh is not funny simply because it has to try so hard to be surreal that it is a wonder it does not implode under the strain. Now let me make this clear. My favorite comedies include the office, the IT crowd, Peep Show and of course Monty Python. I veer towards the absurd and stupid in my tastes and have just discovered Garth Marenghi's Dark Place, which is possibly the funniest show in the history of tv comedy as far as I am concerned. The Mighty Boosh is a complete laugh free zone. The closest thing I can compare it with is the Basil Brush show, the one shown in recent years on the BBC. The tone and humour are pretty much the same but with swearing. Mind you, Basil Brush is funnier. It must be because I laughed at it once but have watched ... Read More:

This is yet another DVD that I bought to fill out my collection (mostly because I already own all the other CSI boxsets) and yet again I wasn't disappointed. This set includes some of the best episodes so far in the CSI history, although sometimes it does focus slightly too much on the minor characters. Having said that, it has made me appreciate Hodges and his sarcasm that little bit more...

Finally, a romantic comedy that breaks the boundaries of clichéd romantic flicks and has enjoyable characters, a plot that is exciting, mysterious and funny and with plenty of twists to justify the genre that is often slated for it's predictability. Ryan Reynolds (Just Friends) stars as Will Hayes, a middle aged man who is coming close to a divorce and when his daughter asks about her mother, Will takes a look back at the past years of his life. Don't judge the film by the trailer because there is so much more on offer. Yes, it was witty and enjoyable. I am glad that I have added this to my Austen Collection. Loved the photography in Bath. I wasn't so impresed with the acting but overall a good interpretation. Our Jane was quite a racy woman.

American Gangster is a solid piece of entertainment featuring two standout performances from Washington and Crowe who are well supported by an ensemble of fine character actors. Incidental music, costumes and sets effectively recreate the New York of the 1970s, a time of Vietnam, racial tension and police corruption. It may not stand comparison with the very best examples of the genre, but can certainly hold its own against recent crime flicks such as The Departed. Definitely worth a watch to see the two lead actors breathing life into two rather clichéd characters (Crowe's world-weary cop and Washington's ruthless drug baron) but you might want to try it out as a rental before buying.

I was a huge fan of The Cipmunks as a child and I was worried that the film would be a real dissapointment. I was so wrong! This film is fantastic the chipmunks are so cute and funny. Jason Lee is perfect as Dave Seville and all of the classic songs are there. This is a funny, heartwarming and cool film, enjoy!

Despite the criticisms voiced over this series, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sure there are times you think 'What, not again'. As CTU's security is compromised again. As another director of CTU is removed. Despite this, the 24 factor is still there and each episode ends with a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more. The new characters introduced play there roles well and there are enough unexpected twist and turns to keep you interested. I'm off to get series 7. What better recommendation is there?
