Wow! Just when I thought that this show couldn't get any better at the end of season 1, season 2 proves me wrong as this season is just simply incredible. It begins with the hatch being opened and the first meetings with some new characters, so it's not short of excitement at all. Some questions are answered as the series goes on and some more are created. More characters are introduced whilst others are killed off, which can be quite surprising as some scenes are just so unpredictable. So many more background stories giving insight into the characters' backgrounds are given in the flashback sequences, going even further back into their pasts than just the few days leading up to the flight. Not more than 10 minutes ago my wife and i finished watching series 1 and we thought it was brilliant. We normally watch 24 or lost on dvd but thought we'd give this ago and i'm so glad we did. Not a dull episode. Not one. Am just about to order series 2. I hope it's as good.

This great Hollywood blockbuster is one of a series of thought provoking movies along with the constant gardener and shooting dogs .Filmed in South Africa , London and Mozambique ,the result is excellent and the photography in this movie is a good as it gets . It tells the story of two people who must find a very large diamond for very different reasons , one to save his son and the other to become rich . The action scenes are very realistic is terms of showing the brutal civil war in Sierra Leone as Saving private Ryan showed the landings in Normandy . this is the fourth and final season of this fabulous show. i have to say its my favourite, mainly cos there is now whining from marissa (mischa barton)n is season. although its only 16 episodes long, they are funny and funfilled. favourite guest character is season gordon "bang" bullitt!!! the final 2 episodes still make me cry and i love how the ending of the show shows all our favourite characters futures and ends with the line "hey kid, need some help?"

And the story continues--from the chaos following Caesar's assassination, Mark Antony's inept rule, the intrigues of Brutus and Cassius, and the rise of Octavian..this series is just as good as the first one, and every bit as gripping and visually magnificent. Superbly acted and produced, both series 1 and 2 are just gems. I feel bereft now I've watched the whole thing. If only they could keep going! But maybe they don't want to tread on I, Claudius' toes, which takes us into Octavian's(Augustus')long reign and beyond?

In the first season we are introduced to the Soprano family. The most impressive thing here is that we're not just introduced to `the family' but we're introduced, quite intimately, to Tony Soprano's immediate family, wife, daughter and son. Like the shows creator David Chase said on the dvd extras, this is a story about a gangster who is living the same life we all are, taking his children to school and putting food on his families table. That's what makes this show so culturally valuable. For some reason this film bypassed me on its first release, but eventually I caught up with it at the cinema and on dvd. If you like intelligent, beautifully acted literary adaptations, if you like beautiful scenery, and if you like real emotional content in your films, I heartily recommend The Painted Veil. It's set in China during the rise of the Nationalist movement (1920s), and really benefits from actually being filmed there. It revolves around the relationship of a married couple Walter and Kitty Fane - brilliantly portrayed by Edward Norton and Naomi Watts. Kitty marries Walter to escape from her mother, despite not being in love with him. Season 3 was by far the most entertaining and well-rounded season in the shows history (so far at least, with the 7th season forthcoming). This season captured and brought out in the best of ways all the little traits that make this show what it is. Almost all the episodes of this season can be described as "classics", from the amazing premiere to the fulfilling finale. Although it is hard to play favourites with this season, stand alone episodes include: -They Shoot Gilmores, Don't They? A friend of mine recommended Criminal minds to me, the first episode I saw was 'secrets and lies' from then on I was hooked so I bought the season 1 box set to see what I'd missed. I wasn't disappointed at all. There is a wonderful cast along with some very interesting storylines. Criminal minds isn't about dusting for fingerprints and swabbing for DNA it looks at the kind of person(s) that would commit a particular crime and why they would commit the crime. This is one show that is underrated yet one of the best crime shows out there. I'd recommend this to anyone.
