This is a pleasant little DVD for kids who love animals, helps familirise animals to them with an animated story. My little girl loves the kittens and strokes the TV screen when they come on. Not to annoying for adults to have to endure like some DVD's. My little girl has learnt more about names for animals and what sounds they make by watching this DVD. Happy to recommend.

We like Barney so we were expecting to see mainly BARNEY, not a bunch of kids singing and dancing on stage. It was basically a live show and not the usual Barney DVD with a little sweet story teaching values. There was nothing wrong with it except hearing the same songs sung over and over again on past DVDs, which I could have heard without wasting my money on this one.

First of all, this is NOT an educational programme, no matter what parents would like to think. However, I don't really care if programmes are educational because it would be a bit embarrassing if I thought my kid should learn something from watching telly. I am just looking for something that entertains my 18 month old, and for some inexplicable reason, this hits the spot. She doesn't just find it more interesting than other programmes, she is utterly riveted by it, it's the only programme she won't move an inch while watching, and we spend her mealtimes discussing (well, naming in a babyish way) the major villains in the series. My little boy is nine months old and has loved this DVD for a couple of months (and I hope many more). It is the only thing that keeps him completely amused if I need to do anything. He is mesmerised by it and hates being interrupted in the middle of it. It's bright, cheery, nice songs and harmless. I wish they'd make another!

My 3 year old Granddaughter absolutely loves this. She plays it every day, even choosing it rather than Charlie & Lola, her favourite. She is now slipping in the occasional Spanish word - asking Mummy to Vamos when getting ready for her walk. Recommended by this three year old!
