The title says it all, I think and the reviewer who considers it classist and misogynist has obviously failed to see the point of the movie which actually makes fun of these attitudes. Remember the scene at Mrs. Higgin's house or Alfred P. Doolite's remarks on 'middle-class morality' - hardly narrow-minded.

My 2 yr old daughter had this for her Christmas eve pressi and the whole family sat down to watch it ... We felt very disappointed that only the 1st episode was Christmas themed and the other two were just nice episodes. Pity. They missed their chance to put an awesome DVD together. BUT, the Christmas episode is really good!

This is such a classic film which I have loved since my early childhood. The characters are amazing and the soundtrack will stay with you for years to come. A family favorite for both halloween and christmas and any other occassion!

His wry wit and humour certainly makes the book an enjoyable read and this humour still shows in Danny DeVito¡¦s movie version of the novel with a contrast of both American and English actors. I watched The Incredibles with my 4 year old son this afternoon. This was the second attmept at watching it after we had to switch it off some months before because the film became too intense for him. He wanted to watch it again ("All the way through this time!") and so we settled down, turned down the lights and amped up the 5.1 surround sound. The first ten minutes had me laughing at Mr Incredible's attempts to do his duty as a superhero whilst aiming to attend what is obviously a very important function on time. This sequence is hectic, exciting and fun. The film then slows down somewhat, and I thought my son might begin to fidget and become bored, but he didn't and the film soon livened up again. This is one of the best films I've seen in ages - funny, touching and close to the book. It leaps from past to present, story to real life easily and effectively, and ties up Kissin' Kate Barlow, Madame Zerone and the Warden well, mixing up the stories as seamlessly as the book does. It is a beautiful adaption of the book - the screenplay was written by Louis Sachar himself, which means that it's been done exactly as he meant it to be. Writing is making a film in your head, and this is exactly the kind of film he was writing.

Not just the finest xmas film of recent times, also it answers the 64,000 dollar question of each and all films ever made..is it near endlessly rewatchable, will it get me in the mood each time (for xmas that is), can it tick those two wondrous boxes, and viewers, it can.

I must say that I have always been a Tom & Jerry fan, so it was long overdue for me to start owning the collection. I bought Volumes 2 & 3 at the same time as getting this one, and despite any editing and overdubbing, I still enjoy settling down to a couple of hours fun entertainment from these timeless characters. My little toddler son also enjoys the Tom & Jerry cartoons - and it takes a lot to get him to sit still for a few minutes - he really seems to like the mouse character as he squeals with delight and claps his hands. Good DVD, would recommend this to all fans, old and young alike.
