I have been line dancing for a few years so was intrigued by the cover of this DVD as it challenges the misconceptions that line dancing is all about cowboys and country and western. Yes, there is country and western but Lynne makes it look cool, and there is also contemporary, which gives line dancing a modern edge. Lynne's style is encouraging and you feel she is talking just to you. Her teaching is excellent in its clarity; steps are taught in short blocks that are graduallly put together to create the main frame of the dance, which makes it easier to learn from. I enjoyed the different sorts of music and the energy created by the dancers. Very well thought out and a true reflection of line dancing today.

I've recently bought both this and the first DVD - Moving and Grooving, and am looking forward to another being brought out.
Both DVD's are very upbeat and fun. The dances are broken down into sections and are easy to follow. My children are only 3 and 5 but thoroughly enjoy learning the dances, listening intently to the dance teacher and copying the moves. I was impressed at how quickly they learnt!
It is definately suitable for kids up to about 12 years of age (and good fun for Mum's too!).

Extremely good Chi Kung routine.

I bought this one a bit skeptically, for the Tai Chi section, but enjoy the Chi Kung routine immensely and do it regularly. It is straightforward to do, is demonstrated by 5 people (Carradine, Dr Tayam, an athletic man, and 2 athletic women), and the music is calm ambient with some oriental flutes, and the visuals behind the 5 people are really wonderful : time lapse of clouds rolling over the grand canyon, of a boat ride up a fjord, of a journey through the solar system etc... all with Carradine and co doing the movements in front.

It's just great.

You can be skeptical about Carradine, but you know what he's a real person and so are the other 4, Dr Tayam is there for correctness, ... Read More:

After searching for a DVD that played at a speed and pace that a beginner could work with - I found it in this DVD, it's great and my back is benefiting from the exercises. Thanks to Lynne Robinson.

I'll be honest, no I'm not that fit. I did enjoy bits of this dvd but I don't think the warm up stretches you enough and everytime I have used it the next day I'm in agony! Hopefully it's just me not used to the moves because there are some moves you could honestly believe do the world of good.

If you already quite fit and just trying to work to the next level then this might really work for you. If, like me, you are at the beginning of your workout mission then skip this one for the moment or really stretch out before you start xx

This really is Ultimate! The workout is challenging and allows you to push yourself harder or choose the beginner option but even as a beginner you will be working really hard. You may think Yogalates is just a series of poses and positions but then you realise your butt muscles are killing you and your stomach looks a lot more toned! I would recommend this dvd, Like all Louise Soloman's, if you like a class atmosphere to your workout, are annoyed by stupid dance music in the background and just want something that will stay interesting for longer. Since this is quite a tough work out to do for three days a week I tend to alternate it with one of the other Yogalates DVDs.

Not bad, but it's not so clear in its communication, and the production values are not great (poor picture quality). I found that "Alexander Technique: First Lesson [1998]" (the one with William Hurt) was rather a lot better.

This DVD set takes forever to give you a full pilates session. Each DVD concentrates on different body areas with some overlap. Each exercise is demonstrated and explained very well. This is my first atempt at pilates and I found it easy to follow the moves. However, if you want a pilates routine then it takes about 2 hours to get through the complete workout which is split between the DVDs.

I wasn't sure about this DVD when I first did it - I am used to the person talking directly but this had a voiceover and it moved quite quickly but once I got the hang of it I really enjoyed it! It worked me into a sweat and made me pretty tired but I'm sure that once I am a bit fitter I will enjoy it as a dance thing as well as a workout! I got used to the voiceover thing and realised that it is good that once I know the moves I can turn the voice off!
I wasn't sure about rolling the head backwards in some of the moves so I just left that bit out, and I found the first bit made me quite dizzy with all the spinning and head shaking, so I just did a bit and moved on.
Other than that I found that I could pick up the moves reasonably quickly (it did take a couple ... Read More:

DVD : I Hate to Exercise, I Love to Tap [1984]
I was searching for an excellent tap dancing DVD and after reading other buyers reviews I decided to go for it. What a great buy it was to. A very easy to follow tap dancing DVD which starts with basic steps and leads to some tap routines. Bonnie teaches in a way which seems like she is in the room with you and goes through the steps at an easy pace. All steps are broken down into easy pieces and at the end are put together. Before you know it you are doing a tap routine. The famous timestep is also included. By the end of the DVD you feel somewhat like a professional tap dancer. A highly recommneded DVD
