Fantastic program of yogalates which I have used several times a week for the last 6 months. If you're looking to lose weight it's great to combine with a more strenuous exercise dvd to improve tone and flexibility as your weight decreases. Unfortunately my band did snap as it's not as strong as other pilates bands but I bought 3 different strength bands and have worked up to the hardest one so you can make the workout as difficult as you like. Would recommend buying alongside other workouts as it's hard not to get bored when you know the words inside out!

Based on my experience I can confidently state that one can learn Tai Chi from this DVD. I have tried books and two other DVDs but this is the best DVD to start with. Very effective from day 1. Dr Lam has loads of information at his website and there is a very friendly and helpful forum where you can ask questions. Dr Lam or another expert will answer you. I was adviced to use this DVD before progressing on to more advanced DVDs. It is best to try and perfect few movements than to learn many.

The exercises in this video are made too fast for yoga beginners. I would not recommend it for Yoga beginners. In fact, only the last part, the stretching and relaxation part, is suitable for yoga beginners. Sorry but I have seen better.

I had products in the past from eva fraser but never kept up with the exercises it just seemed tedious. I started to do carole maggio's exercises and found the nose exercises developed deepen lines from nose to mouth!! So I decided to dig out this dvd and play it. I was surprised the basic exercises took less than 15 mins and found it was much easier to do this time round from previous versions of this on video. Within a week my face looked more plump and smooth, within two weeks my cheek muscles were more defined my eye area looked more raised. I kept feeling my face because I could not believe how toned it felt. After 2 weeks I looked in the mirror and realised my chin looked sleeker and toned! The "Dance if off with Vicky Binns" is actually my first Fitness DVD I ever bought and I have to admit that it was a good choice. Well, I can't compare it do other DVDs but I've already been doing some beginners gym classes comparable to this workout. And honestly, this workout is so much better. It's tough at some points but you feel great after... You just have to clench your teeth a bit. But anyway, it's getting better every time you do it again. Rachel explains the steps and movements very well and both, Rachel and Vicky, have a great presence and it's really hard not to like them. I love this exercise regime, it is sooooo good for loosening tight muscles and has really helped to ease my sore back after all that lifting and carrying of baby (now 12 weeks old). However, I was pretty fit beforehand and was halfway through a 10 week course of Pilates when I got pregnant, so I didn't find this DVD particularly challenging and was slightly disappointed when I found I could do the whole thing including the 4 - 6 month workout with ease almost straight after the birth. I have since bought some more difficult workout DVDs but still revisit Lindsey Jackson two or three times a week to help ease my tightened muscles and go through the relaxation exercises, which are brilliant. I've tried Pilates and Yoga DVDs before & have quickly got fed up with the new age music,, and have sometimes been unsure what they've wanted me to do. This is different - down-to-earth advice that you can use everyday, with simple instructions that are repeated on screen. I've been in agony with back pain, and am now feeling a bit more empowered to do something about it.

I bought this along with another yoga-dvd and two pilates dvds. I haven't done any yoga before but have been quite active before my pregnancy (this is 3rd one, so I know why the exercise matters throughout pregnancy as well..). This dvd is very well paced and instructed, even for beginners. I did the 60 minute set today and personally don't think of it as a true workout, but rather an excellent stretching and relaxation exercise. But that is what you essentiallly need when you're pregnant! Often you don't even notice how tight your muscles are before they actually start aching. I have been using this dvd practically every morning, this is just right for an out of bed routine. If you want something more vigorous try Rodney's other dvd's. He is just so great. It is so surprising the results that one can obtain with constant use. Wouldn't be without it.

If I remember correctly this is a late 90s production that was once sold on Amazon.com in region 1 VHS format and was titled " David Carradines Tai Chi For The Mind & Body" and received mostly impressive reviews. This long awaited UK DVD version has the added bonus of some nice stuff in the extras menu and also the advantage of being able to choose either the AM (mind) or the PM (body) routine at the push of a button and without any old fashioned fast forewarding. It is a shame they never kept the Mind & Body title but that does not take away the fact that this is very simple and highly enjoyable and beneficial couple of Tai Chi workouts The first session is the AM (mind) Tai Chi and fine for any time of day.
