At times this season review DVD was riveting viewing for us now success starved blues, but at other intervals it was a little amateur.Whilst you have to understand that in the 1980s not every match was filmed by television so it was near impossible to show all goals and games but there could have been better continuity and planning in the schedule. I think it was unessessary to show clips from the non-entity full members cup at a sparcely populated goodison. Overall the best part of it was the(last 20 minutes) run in to the title win and ultimately the lap of honour in front of a packed goodison,happy memories indeed.

I bought this DVD because I recently got into football. And apparently this is a legendary match, as good as it gets. I watched, was impressed. But, my how football has changed! And if you watch it from a historical perspective, it's not just the result that stands out. From the big heavy leather ball that they hoof around, to the people who just sit around the stadium, this is how football used to be played. It's not as fast and athletic and fluid as it's modernday grandson, but more slower, calcualting, like a game of chess. It's a really fantastic game, and also takes you back to the 60's. If you are a Chelsea fan don't buy this as the bbc dvd complete of match of the day is much better value of money than this one Come on Mr Kenyon produce a better chelsea history dvd than this one

This isn't exactly the best "Christmas style one hour length football DVD". As like most people, I realise these come out every christmas, and like most people into football I get given them for christmas from lazy people who know I like footy. The clips aren't exactly anything new or different to other DVD's. If you are after this kind of DVD, and is anyone really? Then I suggest the Soccer AM DVDs.

Agree with everything Chris Ritson says. An absolute belter of a film about overcoming seemingly insurmountable odds. I must have watched it a dozen times and it never fails to bring a tear to the eye or a smile to the lips. Sean Astin is superb. For me, it's right up there with Field of Dreams and The Natural. If you can run Region 1 DVDs then this should be at the top of your shopping list.

I must have watched it a dozen times and it never fails to bring a tear to the eye or a smile to the lips. Sean Astin is superb. For me, it's right up there with Field of Dreams and The Natural. The 2004-05 season review has a number of good points - firstly every match and every goal is included, and there are also comments from many of the first team (not including at the time a Chelsea bound Steven Gerrard!). The highlights are obvious - and mainly come from the European nights. From the Chelsea game at Anfield where the atmosphere made the game seem even more titanic than it actually was, to the Liverpool comeback in Instanbul - inspired by Gerrard's imploring of the team for more in the second half, to the Super Carragher playing through the cramp in extra time and then completed by Dudek's penalty saves - sure hes a dodgy keeper but he can save a penalty from the best striker in the world....!
