If you hate horror films watch this one. There's nothing to be afried in Scary movie. From mickey of Scream to Saw, Charlie's angles to the ring, every film has a suprice. The chartacters are finny and scared stifless. To me David Houser makes a superb job. And if you are afried of laughing don't watch this. Scary movie is a comedy horror that you watch agaon and again and if you liked Sean and Marylon Willains in White Chicks you love Scary movie one, two, three and finally four.

This is a kind of reimagining of Rosemarie's baby, a scientist who spends her time debunking miracles or inexplicably odd environmental disasters is sent to a small town which is experiencing plagues of the biblical variety.

There are revelations about the scientist, why she has lost her faith, the town, they arent what they seem, and a child who is scapegoated by the townspeople as the source of the trouble.

While its not a total surprise (unless you where surprised by "twists" like that in The Sixth Sense) there is an entertaining "twist" just at the finish of the story, which leaves a kind of cliff hanger and talking point but doesnt leave you wondering what was going on or leaves you feeling like the movie's some ... Thirteen Ghosts is a remake of a 1960's film of the same title created by the brilliant William Castle. The film follows a man and his children who become trapped in a ghost ridden house that they've inherited from Cyrus (the man's eccentric uncle.) Trapped along with them are a psychic, a lawyer, and a ghost hunter.

Thirteen Ghosts is a bit different from your standard horror, and it goes without saying that I doubt that this it's the kind of film that everyone will find scary. But for me at least it worked. As this is probably one of the greatest ghost films I've ever seen. The bathroom scene especially, which has been done really well comes to mind. Not to mention when the lawyer 'splits.' The plot is solid and progresses well, keeping you ... Read More:

Stephen King is the man when it comes to long stories about small town evil goings on. This title having not come from one of his existing books still lives up to the rest of his mini series gems still nothing has quite topped The Stand. This one is stark through and through lending the well hearted good vs evil nature that is so frequent with King stories. However, there are some supporting actors here that are just pants and bring down the rest the main guy for one. The main bad dude is spot on and very sinister. This miniseries took nearly ten years to grace the sales shelves since its airing on TV and it was worth the wait now if they go back and put in some special features this would be the best DVD ever!

Here's a fine example of that glittering creature: a small British film that punches well above its weight. As with Dog Soldiers, Neil Marshall has crafted a seminal horror film on a budget that would scarcely pay for the stars' lunches on a Hollywood set. This tightly scripted subterranean Alien cleverly examines the deteriorating relationships between six female thrill-seekers as they fight for survival deep underground. Marshall has a perfect sense of timing (you will jump a number of times), and knows how to ratchet up the tension better than just about any other director currently working in the genre. Right from the start he by turns embraces and subverts the rules and continues to surprise right through to the poignant ending.

There's something here ... Read More:

Psycho may well remain one of Hitchcock's most famous movies, nearly 50 years after it first hit our screens; it also remains one of his best. It's difficult to comprehend, in the 21st century, just how shocking it must have seemed at the time given that, after all, it's de rigueur these days to kill off major names in movies and show horrific murders on the screen. But it's also true to say that for all the "anything goes" attitude that prevails with modern films, few have managed this kind of story as well as Hitchcock does here.

If anything this is two films in one. The first concerns Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) who decides to steal $40,000 from her boss so that she and her lover can escape from drudgery. She takes off in her car in the direction of her lover ... Read More:
