After just watching Matrix I was expecting another load of nonsense from this film. Another Sci-fi. However I was pleasantly suprised, and from that day on the original Blade has been and still is my all time fave film.

Wesley Snipes is simply brilliant in this, I've never seen a cooler character than Blade. From his cool sword moves to his funny sarcastic comments "You've met Mr Crispy at the Hospital, what do YOU think!".

In a way I think that Blade is slightly under-rated, however that's not necessarily a bad thing, who knows, if Blade had been more successful the sequels might not have been as good!

I've re-watched all Blade films to the point that I've learnt some russian sentences. And to anyone ... Read More:

Romero once again adds to the canon with healthy measures of bloody paranoia, claustrophia and violence permeating the efforts of a dwindling number of living humans to find temporary respite from the growing numbers of zombie dead.

Reviewers are often fond of looking for some subtext within these films. Dawn of the Dead had its obvious message about consumerism - are these dead people behaving any differently from when they were alive? Probably not.

Here we can see the message is the brutal control of the civilian and scientific populations by a harried and panicked military group in the aftermath of the end of the society. These people have literally burrowed underground into the dark to survive. The sole doctor resorts ... Read More:

Craven's "Scream" is a masterpiece, it can't be denied. The intricate references to previous horror-movie greats is fantastic and Craven voices his thoughts on the horror genre throughout the film through the character Randy, a movie buff.
There are many plot twists and turns that make for edge-of-your-seat viewing. I loved this film and I highly recommend it to any horror fan. I also recommend you buy the soundtrack - it's awesome.

I think the best thing about The Birds is that it is directed by Alfred Hitchcock, to me anything with his name fronting it is scary.
Tippi Hedren stars as an attractive woman who moves to a small town somewhere in the U.S. For no given reason 'the birds' start behaving wildly, pecking people's eyes out & doing all those things we know birds are capable of but don't expect them to do.
Amongst all this there is a blossoming romance between Hedren & Rod Taylor.
In contrast with most horror movies made in this era it is quite scary, there is more blood than most cinema goers of that decade would have been used to.
What I didn't like about the film was that there is no real reason for the birds acting so bizarrely; why all of a sudden do they ... Read More:

I enjoyed this movie so much. Finally we see a movie written by someone with an imagination. Bruce Campbell and the cast are excellent, the idea of the movie is quite extraordinary, Elvis is still alive and has formed a union with JFK and together they are fighting an ancient egyptian mummy in order to protect their fellow inmates at the rest home.
Its nice to be able to enjoy a movie thats not have several billion dollars thrust at it, like a lot of the Hollywood pap we see from week to week, 'I am Legend' i am looking at you, and they still cannot produce something as colorful and fun as this. Coscarelli and Lansdale, i hope we see more of your works.

The other reviews say it all.Buy the orignal Peter Brook film which is faithful to the book. In fact seeing it acted out in the original film is even more chilling.

This is a shallow travesty which you should not waste your money on.

Hot fuzz even though not quite as good as shaun of the dead in my opinion because of the two main characters it is also a great film waiting for the third film of the trilogy cnt wait.
