What a load of cobblers, for a start it was supposed to take place in Western Australia but in fact was filmed thousands of kilometres away in South Australia, it is supposed to be based on fact but how come no-one in Australia read anything about all these murders in the papers.
The really big mistake they made was when the sole surviver was rescued and taken to hospital, if anyone cares to check a map of Western Australia they will find that he was picked up close to Halls Creek in the Kimberly region, and then driven, in a kombi van, two thousand four hundred and fifty kilometres, passing probably seven hospitals, then taken about sixty k's off the highway to the coast to Kalbarri, all in a couple of hours.
Go figure.

I love this movie! It is a true gem for fans of vintage British film, and I was amazed at not having seen this earlier, as it is a classic. Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing make great performances in this beautifully shot, tightly paced Sherlock Holmes chiller, which has stood the test of time without problem. This is my favorite among the many collaborations that Lee and Cushing made throughout their career. The sets are gorgeous and create just the right atmosphere. Who needs CGI? They sure don't make them like this anymore.

The original Black Xmas was good for its day but I believe that the classic needed to be remade as it was beginning to show its age. Usually remakes are crap but I was pleasantly surprised that this was pretty good.

The story is exactly the same, the girls in a sorority house are murdered one by one by a maniac on Christmas Eve, pretty simple but effective. The film has good deaths, blood, evil killer(s) and fit girls! Add all this up and you get a solid remake and an independent film in its own right.

Chuck is back and still after Andy is now placed in a foster home after the tragic events of the first film since his mother was committed. I've seen the original to this film and I love it. The first thing I really enjoyed about this film, was the director's decision to make Ann and George very ordinary and very vulnerable, and because of Roth's and Watts' brilliant performances it was equally terrifying. Before watching this I had assumed I would be cheering for Tim Roth the entire time - being a huge Reservoir Dogs fan and all - since he was one of the reasons I was attracted to this film in the first place. As it turns out, Naomi Watts was far better in this film than Roth, and showed audiences that she is one of the best actresses working today.

Brady Corbet as the childish and shy Peter seemed at first to be a horrible casting decision. His first scene was fantastic, then for ... Read More:

Put quite simply, this is EVERYTHING that is wrong with these type of movies. Its badly acted, amaturely made, poorly told, slow, exploitive and made with a complete lack of compassion so its impossible to feel any sort of feelings, even for the supposed victims.
Story centres around 2 detectives who are searching for a serial killer with a fondness for carving equations into their victims chests. As they begin to realise what these equations mean, it becomes clear that the killer has a deep personal motive and that these murders are not random.
No sorry, didn't like this film at all. Aside from the flaws i mentioned earlier, the supposed 'twist' at the end is quite frankly ludicrous and the question of 'what would you do if you had to kill the one you ... Read More:

When Joss was away the writers got to play, and unfortunately rode off on personal hobbyhorses such as James Bond-ish covert units and a "non-dark" boyfriend for Buffy. Add to these a Frankenstein rip-off and you get a mish-mosh of a season with such a confused arc that the last episode seems to exist just to say "Don't worry, we'll have more interesting storylines next season". That said, bringing back Spike and Anya and introducing Tara more than makes up for the cast members lost and makes possible most of the main threads in the arcs of the final three seasons. Making her way through this soup, Sarah Michelle Gellar must have decided it was "sink or swim" and gave her best overall performance of any season. Even this topnotch effort couldn't strike any sparks with the ... Read More:

This series of Buffy is tremendous! After a rather miserable and dark series 5 I found this one much more filled with giggles whilst still being able to tug the heart strings and give the viewer surprises and something to think about. Willow's "addiction" to magic is portrayed very well and Buffy's struggle to return to the world after being in heaven is interesting. I do think perhaps the idea of Buffy's being unable to be with her friends properly anymore was not particularly well done but you get the overall picture. The only really bad episode was the one with Xander and Anya's wedding! Other episodes are stuffed with humour - some of which is amply provided by the geekiest bad guys ever to hit Sunnydale and the legendaryt musical episode. Others are thought provoking such as the ... Read More:

The original Friday the 13th is not the first, the most original, or the best slasher film ever made, but it is arguably the most influential. You almost have to take off one of your socks to count all of the sequels (and impending remake) this slasher granddaddy has spawned, and I daresay the majority of slasher films littering the genre in all the years since were constructed on the generic and simple framework of the Friday the 13th formula. Critics are still foaming at the mouth in indignation over this film all these years later, so you know it did something right. Of course, by today's standards Friday the 13th registers low (if at all) on the fright meter and really isn't all that gory, but no one can dispute the fact that this film set the stage for innumerable bloody slasher films to come.
