DVD : Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 2 [1998] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
I thought this was a brilliant season as it was fast paced, action packed and full of amazing plots. It's by far my favorite buffy season although I thought the acting was mediocre(excluding SAHRAH MICHELLE GELLER who as always maintains a high standard of acting and no-matter how blatently unrealistic the situation is she makes it believable.)Another down side is its got a bit soft. With the first season it was gritty and tense, but now its a series about teen angst.with vampires. If you haven't seen the firt to 5th seasons already buy them first or you will have no idea what its all about and less insight into the characters and their flaws and redeeming qualities.

DVD : The Twilight Zone, Vol. 20 [1963]
You will not find a common theme to the three episodes from "The Twilight Zone" on Volume 20 of the DVD collection. After all, it is not like there was a concerted effort to provide thematic unity to any of these volumes, but sometimes you can see causal connections and find a certain logic to the lineup. However, all in all you will find that this volume is a slightly above average one in the series, even with one of those less than stellar efforts from the flawed fourth season when suddenly the episodes were an hour long. This was not the stupidest example in the history of television of making a hit show longer. That dubious honor belongs to the ABC executives who took what was the #1 show in 1961-62, "Wagon Train," away ... Read More:

DVD : The Twilight Zone: '80s - Season 1 (REGION 1) (NTSC)
The original series was produced between 1959 and 1965 and is one of the true legends in TV series history. This DVD set covers the first season of the 80's version of it - in colour and stereo sound.

The picture quality is a little greasy, because the show was videotaped - but this is 80's standard. Technically, this disc set is as good as you can expect.

There are not many extras, but some episodes have commentaries by directors and producers.

Though the material is almost 20 years old now, many of the episodes are still interesting to watch and quite gripping. If you liked the old show, and if you are open to a new approach, you're going to like this one. If you like mystery shows, here's a classic waiting ... Read More:

DVD : Tales from the Crypt Presents Bordello of Blood [1996] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
This is a typical Tales from the Crypt presentation which are always played as tongue in cheek. The main vampiress and the main leading lady are just eye candy and are not very convincing. The main lead actor actually drove me nuts and I just wanted him to shut up. Chris Sarandon (Fright Night) gives a passable performance as the TV evangelist who, as I guessed from the start, was involved where he shouldn't be. The best bit of the whole film is when they go into the bordello and take on the evil undead with Super Soakers filled with holy water, with The Sweet's Ballroom Blitz played over the scene. To be truthful, I have seen better but it was entertaining nonetheless.

DVD : Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 3 [1998] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
In my opinion, it's the first three seasons of Buffy that hit the hardest. Each one is more dramatic and emotionally involving than the last, with a devastating finale - and the finale of this season is perhaps the best of all. Season 3 introduces rogue slayer Faith, the oddly short-lived star vamp Mister Trick, and the cordially sinister Mayor Wilkins (has a screen villain ever been so menacing, yet so chirpy?). If you've seen this season already, then you'll know exactly how high the standard is. If you haven't, then maybe I shouldn't say too much else except that you will surely not be disappointed.

After Season 3, things started to go sadly awry in the Buffy camp as the show grew increasingly implausible and inconsistent (although ... Read More:
