As a parent, keeping my two daughters amused can prove difficult at the best of times. On a recommendation, I bought Star Dancer in the hope it would be a little different from the usual toy diet of dolls, PC games and handheld consoles. Thankfully it was. From the word go, they were dancing and singing round our lounge like divas. In Star Dancer, they can dance along with the stars on screen and take turns judging other's performances. It's quite competitive, but fun, and keeps them amused for hours. Unlike most screen-based entertainment, it helps them stay active too. Highly recommended for birthdays, Xmas or simply something to do on cold wet weekends.

Rented on the basis of outstanding reviews seen here & elsewhere. Personally I found the film unsatisfying. The outcome was of course largely predictable, hence there was less tension that I had hoped for. I found the american accents adopted by Fiennes & Scofield irritating & unconvincing. On the other hand I almost felt the need for sub titles in the case of Rob Morrow's character. Overall I just felt an absence of empathy for any of the characters - always a killer blow. The direction of the film felt heavyhanded in the way it was trying to ram it's message home. Just not a film I felt any affection for.

Excellent fun! A really enjoyable, highly playable and very entertaining game. I bought it as a Christmas gift and now don't want to give it away!

I was disappointed with this game. The questions are overly difficult, with some of these dating back nearly 10 years, such as asking who scored the winning goal in a league game in 1993. I am a football fan but struggled to answer more than 2 questions in a row. It also takes a long time between questions and to tell you whether you have answered a question right, due to the quantity of graphics on the disc. This makes it very slow process and combined with Alan Hansen's uninspiring and unemotional comments, it is quite a tedious way to answer questions about football.

Several answers can be arrived at by Sherlock * Holmes type deduction i.e ruling poss. "incorrect" answers out. Maybe it could be updated in some way on-line to include new questions year on year? As for the price, not too dear, my Dear Watson! * maybe Sheer Luck?!
