DVD : Law And Order - Corruption Empire
When i brought this DVD, I was under the impression that "Corruption Empire" was eather a tv movie, or a feature length episode of "Law and Order". But it's not; it is two episodes from season seven that have been stuck together to make a "film".
If I had seen them properly, I would have enjoyed both the episodes. But this is pathetic, putting two totally different storylines together to make one thing! Don't bother! Just wait to buy season seven of "Law and Order" when it comes out!

There is no better TV series like the Law and Order: Criminal Intent series. Though I have not seen the DVD myself, I watch the series every time it's on (or I try to.) Most people might think that it's just another cop show, but it's more than that. The principal actors portray their roles with such ease and confidence, that's it's almost hard to believe you're watching a show taped for TV audience. Vincent D'Onofrio plays Goren, a brilliant-minded detective of the squad, based in the US. Goren is not only brilliant-minded, but his quick wit and sarcastic humour make him a one in a million character, and almost makes him seem crazy at times, but anyone will be very mistaken as to think that. Many have tried, but none can match the shear beauty ... Read More:

DVD : Survivors 5 - Law And Order / The Future Hour [1975]
From the first episodes, which dealt with simple survival, the series has moved to an examination of the group as it aims to achieve something more akin to civilisation. But, as the characters keep finding out, the old rules don't always apply, or cannot always be implemented, under the new conditions. In the first episode, "Law and Order", the people struggle to achieve cohesion as a community. Morale is low, they irritate each other, so Abby suggests a party to celebrate May Day. A lighthearted remark that this was a pagan rite, involving the spilling of blood, proves dramatically prophetic, with murder in their midst and a sacrificial victim. The group must then decide between humane principles and self-protection - a difficult choice, ... Read More:

thank god for U.S. police based dramas! one thing they do so much better than the UK where the quality of the plots and the acting generally varies from bad to awful.
law & order is tv at its very finest. the stories are often based on current news stories and are all the better for it, with topics such as abortion, immigration etc. often being covered.
the format of the show - half the cops investigation of the case & half the district attorneys prosecution - gives a different slant to proceedings and is all the better for it. the early seasons such as this are the best when michael moriaty, richard brooks, chris noth (mr big from sex & the city) et al ruled the roost. i enjoy the later seasons but the early ones some of tv's finest ...
