I am a huge fan of Top Gear and when I found that this show was available on DVD I had to have it. The show really is great, and Jeremy is so much fun, but there's still a little something missing. For example, the show only lasts for approximately 75 minutes, which is a bit short. After all, it is a presentation of the top 100 cars ever made. Having said that, it's still definitely worth purchasing. Not just because of Jeremy, but also because of the great cars in the show.

OK first things first; yes, these movies do make young lads in Vauxhall Novas tear around their local housing estates. But, as a man of a certain age, watching The Professionals or The Dukes of Hazzard used to do the same to me. But there are some that will say that an highly illegal drive through an urban backdrop should not be filmed, but I am not one of those people. I hate censorship in any form and this is, in the whole, harmless fun. Is it any good? Well, I have ALL the GiS movies and this is the best. 15 minutes isn't very long for the actual film, but you get it twice, (once with a great commentry). And the extras are excellent. If only there had been more motor racing documentary/films made like this. Anyone interested in this period of Motorsport should definitely consider this DVD. This has great behind-the-scenes and on-track footage of the 1972 sports car season complete with early seventies groovy music soundtrack. In particular the Targa Florio and Le Mans coverage is superb and a real reminder of a time when Motorsport was far more treacherous and daring than in today's safety conscious world. There are also some amusing candid scenes with the drivers. One classic moment finds the Ferrari team lazing by a pool swapping stories - the late great Ronnie Peterson tells Andretti, Redman and Ickx about a bee flying on to his nose ... Read More:
