This is a follow up to Avid's Karaoke king which I also own{see my review}. It is a good attempt by Avid and gives backing tracks which in most cases are close to the original ones. As is usual for Avid, you can select karaoke, vocal or backing for each track. The backgound video shots include vintage Elvis, Sinatra and various 1950's scenes. It is the only karaoke DVD I could find with "Loving You" on it, which is why I bought it. I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed if they buy it. Chris B

Nothing better for a night out under the stars round an open camp fire . Okay the reality is more nothing better for a night in with a few friends & lots of beer. The songs are ones everyone knows the tune but not many know the correct words trying signing rawhide or Jolene with two to many. Quite literally "The best laugh we've had in ages !!!!"

DVD : S Club 7 - Live (DVD)

Thought that S Club 7 were nothing more than a bunch of photogenic, lip-synching choreographed lightweights? Prepare to have your preconceptions rudely overturned by this somewhat revelatory concert.

At last the band is unleashed live on stage, and the pure joy and energy with which they attack their back catalogue of hits is palpable. There's no overdubs and no "help" from backing singers, as the band ably handle all vocal duties themselves, accompanied by a crack band of session musicians who give the songs a harder, funkier edge than one might have expected.

Of course, there's some cool sets and costumes, and the occasional involvement of just five other dancers, but generally there's a refreshingly direct approach ... Read More:

I went to an audition of Pop Idol and well before I went I thought I would learn how to dance. I saw this and thought, 'Hmm... let's learn to dance to pop music'. I was mildly amused by the cheesiness of it all and the fact that there were some karaoke versions of the actual tracks too. The moves themselves were only a small part of the song, so you can only join in bits of the song.
The presenters are unbearably cheesy as well and I think this is aimed at the younger generation probably 8-12 year olds. There are some good songs, a wide selection of tracks and routines but if you're serious aobut dancing then there are better ones out there like Darrins Dance Grooves.
