Initially I was put off buying this DVD due to reviews that mention poor sound, well I took the plunge bought the DVD and am glad I did no problems at all with the sound and picture quality is excellent. The majority of the first section is dedicated to Architecture & Morality which I must admit is my favourite album, with the rest comprising OMD's hits. Yes the group has aged a little however so have the audience although this DVD is definitely worth the purchase.

"Oh My God!" I couldn't stop watching this DVD once I got it. Celine is so spectacular, and this DVD sure does show it! I love all the old videos, "new" videos, and live performances! Who says teenage guys can't LOVE Celine? Here's my run-down: 1. Program start: This is just a short "into" clip. About 30 seconds long. Short and sweet. 2. The Power of Love (Music Video): I may not be "your lady," but I bet after seeing this video, and hearing this song, every guy wants to be Celine's "man." It's so amazing. The 2 semi-finals and grand final are presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic format, though some features on the discs are presented in a 4:3 ratio - eg. the "Local Performance" sections (except for one of the local performance songs which is in non-anamorphic w/s). The discs in the case are placed on top of each other, rather than in separate sections - I'm not sure if this will protect the discs enough. I was introduced to Jojo Mayer via youtube, and some quite staggering footage of demonstrations by him at conventions, so when I heard this dvd was coming out it was a must buy for me. The best thing about this dvd is that it allows you to deconstruct your playing technique and add new techniques to your repertoire whilst not really taking away your drumming individuality in a way that some dvd's can. He also holds nothing back either, he shows you everything you need to know about a technique, there is no "hiding" of the most important bits, that I have found annoying in some other instructional video's. You can tell that his primamry motivation for this was to teach, rather than to show off and we've all bought those ones by mistake!! ... Read More:

If you only buy one DVD of Les Paul let it be this one. Not for the Documentary, which is very good, but for the 90 minutes of the Greatest Guitar Player ever playing live. In my mind there are only 3 Guitarists worthy of consideration for the title of greatest ever guitarist. To be the greatest on any instrument one has to go further than just be a great player, they have had to have taken things a stage fursther. To this end my contenders are Django Reinhardt, Les Paul & Jimi Hendrix. If you agree, then Les has to be the greatest living guitarist and at 93 years young he is still playing the Iridium Club on Broadway every Monday night.
