What can I say - this is simply the best live rock/blues concert recording - EVER! Clapton effortlessly demonstrating why he is in a league of his own. Great(guitar)performance from Steve Winwood, superb playing from John Mayer, Robert Cray, Jeff Beck (where the heck did he find that bass player?), Derek Trucks, Vince Gill, et al. Spine-tinglingly good.

i am fairly new to opeths music but i own a lot of there albums and thought i would give this new dvd a go to see what they were like live. In a few simple words OHHH MYYY GODDDDD the roundhouse venue was a great place for them to play and they pulled of a great show delving into there old songs aswell as new. In this deluxe edition there is also an art book with the artwork for this album and some opeth postcards i am very pleased with this package and so will any opeth fan.

I watched this dvd over the weekend, and was a little dissapointed. I have to agree with some of the points by another review by Stilts. I just wish Avril drops this whole pink bubblegum look, and go back to what made her famous in the first place. I just cannot help but wonder who she really wants to be. The punk/rock chick we all fell in love with back with her first album, or a pink teen pop princess. If you are the latter, you would love this dvd. Don't get me wrong, she still rocks! and I still like her, I am just not one for this whole pink pop thing. For one thing - she lost her male audience. Clearly seen in this dvd. Wasn't going to write a review, but then you get jumped up little wannabe Guardianists like Thomas "Nobmachine" spewing out their fetid bed wetting nonsense. Make no mistake, this is first and foremost a great rock'n'roll dvd, full on balls to the wall classic rock, played how it should be! No prog rock here! Just a huge wall of sound that is unmatched by any other act for sheer power. Every track bristles with righteous fury and takes you right back to 1977, a far more interesting musical time than we have at the moment. The audience defintely loved it big time, always a good sign.

I am really shocked. I bought the Remastered CD set and was very pleased with that. But this is a wasted opportunity!! It is basically a platform for Messrs Plant and Page. All too often Jonesy and Bonzo's performances are lost or ignored by the camera. The actual finish is not too hot either - what worked so well with the CD does not work here! Quite frankly, this is a bit of a mess in places. When one consideres that this is supposed to be a "Special Edition", you might understandably expect the presentation to be a bit "special". In my humble opinion - it's not! In my humble opinion - they needn't have bothered! Just stay with the CD!

I bought this DVD for my mother who is a lifelong Frankie Vaughan fan and sat down to watch it with her. Although I didn't know anything about Frankie this is a wonderful DVD that is full of music and performances and captures the very essence of what a special man he must have been. The programme itself is about ninety minutes long and the interviews and footage are first rate. Some of the photos are amazing and must have come from the family collection. As well as his singing fame Frankie Vaughan also negotiated a knife amnesty in Glasgow in the 1960's and gave his royalties away to the boys clubs. This is a great movie, the music and acting are fantastic, however the quality of the film is terrible, especially at the beginning. Little Anna Mae looked more like the Elephant Man on our copy of the DVD (unless we have a duff one) and spoilt our enjoyment of the film. But we hung on in and whether it got better quality or we just got used to it, it was a great film!
