Have always loved PG and various permutations of his bands but was a little disappointed with this DVD.

As other reviewers point out it is as the cover says, PG's story. This is interesting but there is room to make another film about the man and his guitar.

This is a humint socio movie not about his guitar playing or the music.

PG is still around so go and see him, forget his vulnerability in mixed up times and enjoy the music.

Thanks to a great man who has given us so much good music!

Elvis - The final chapter, its a must have for any Elvis fan who wants to know what really happened from the people who were there and who were closest to Elvis. Elvis was and is the king of rock'n'roll and this DVD shows how being the King took its toll on his life both in love and friendships. The only negative I found with Elvis - The final chapter is the 'lookalike' they used overlapping the interviews, I personnaly think that this spoiled the presentation but if you look past that then this is a great edition to any Elvis collection.

I'm a big fan of Tom Wait's music but this DVD is a real waste of money. The commentary and interviews are tediously dull and uninsightful. Worse, for the most part they pick flaws in every album since Bone Machine without giving any real justification. At best it's unbalanced and I just found it lazy. Very little time is spent analysing the music and Blood Money is left virtually undiscussed. The only good thing I can say about this is it made me want to go and put a Tom Waits CD on. I would not advise anyone to purchase this product.

Classic album DVD's are a real delight and this one is no exception. Not only does Elton give ample time to explain the escapades of recording in England, Jamaica and France, but also we hear a lot from Bernie Taupin on his songwriting. Producer Gus Dudgeon does many analyses of songs by showing how each track was laid out separately giving an entirely new meaning to the creation of a song through his mixer. Davey Johnstone does great famous riffs from the album and it is interspersed with the actual song with neat segues. The concert footage is a bit fuzzy, but the showmanship and the songs are displayed with great affection. Some fans might complain that only about a half-dozen songs are analyzed with a back-up story, but it is well worth hearing these tales. ... Read More:

Last week at The Croydon Warehouse Theatre I saw Bob Kingdom in a Double Bill. He performed:
- Dylan Thomas: Return Journey
followed by
- The Truman Capote Talk Show.

I have never seen anything like it, the acting and dialogue were superb. I was 'bowled over' by the power and lucidity. It must be the strongest acting I've seen in my 47 years...

This DVD is a 'must have' buy to remind me.
