Says Nicole Richie with a very large syringe in hand, while attempting to give campers a shot.
Another brilliant scene and quote from Nicole Richie - The brains behind the series. This series has many funny scenes, but unfortunately has a lot of acted scenes too. Where the previous series had nothing but spontaneous narratives, which added to its greatness. This is a bit of a let down, all though it seems to be solely Paris Hiltons scenes, I'm sure Nicole didn't need a script. It's still a very funny series and if your a big fan of the previous series and probably more 1, 2 and 3 - this'll be very entertaining! Well worth buying!

Don't get me wrong, this dvd is great - it is shot really well, and i am aware that in buying this dvd I wasn't getting any nirvana music, but i think that this would be better as a cd, just to listen to Cobain's voice, as it is just interviews that have been recorded (on radio).

I think that the "beautifully shot" film of Seattle takes away the imagination. I would prefer to imagine in my mind, by what Cobain describes his home town ect to be like, instead of it being spoiled by some film that, in a way, has no coherence to Cobain...

There is only so much you can listen to Ozzy shouting 'Sharon! Sharon!' and screaming 'F*** this, F*** that' at his dogs. You may as well just watch it on Channel4.

Gave this as a pressie. She squeaked when she opend it. Keep getting texts about how she really really really wants to marry Gary as they're perfect for each other and 'he's just lovely and cuddly'. Then she has a little cry, a sing along and a dance.
Apparently this means it's good.
Beats me. Boyzone have always been the musical geniuses in my opinion.

I am a massive Thompson fan and have seen most of the other documentaries out there and this is the worst. It is like one big movie review for fear and loathing. It is worth buying Breakfast with Hunter and giving this a miss. the only extra element is that it discusses his death but its so rushed and shallow it's not worth it.

So much talk-show television is just voyeurism at its worst but Oprah is consistently different. She aims to make a real human connection with her guests and viewers - not to exploit her interviewees, but to find out how she and we can learn and grow from their experience.

This 6-disc set is an amazing library of the most emotionally intelligent television on the planet. It is a terrific investment. It is life-healing, it will make you laugh, it will make you cry.

A documentary about the making of a film that never got past the shooting of a couple of scenes doesn't seem to promise much, but the story of what was to turn out to be a real-life "disaster movie" is riveting stuff.

Terry Gilliam's obsession with "Don Quixote" is infectious and his enthusiasm for the task he faces coupled with glimpses of what it could have been really make you wish that things had turned out better. The insights into how a film is planned and the hugely complex logistics of a "live shoot" are fascinating, while the build-up to the almost inevitable collapse of the project, compounded by unbelievably bad weather and the illness of the central actor, coupled with the impacts of it all on those involved, is about as far removed ... I could write a very long and detailed review of these DVDs, listing the amazing segments of archive footage of the very great players represented here. There are some particular highlights, but suffice to say that everything is worth seeing, the commentary, with the excellent contributions from concert virtuosi, in particular the very engaging Ivry Gitlis, fiddle on lap ready as a tool to demonstrate what he says, are wonderful, and it's hard to imagine that this kind of historical survey of violin playing could be better done. The story is triumphant in places - Heifetz, Milstein (some amusing informal footage here), Kreisler, Francescatti doing a wonderful 'Ronde des Lutins' and talking engagingly about his love of gardining - wistful (Ferras) or even tragic (Rabin) ... Set against 1990's Blond Ambition world tour, 'In Bed With Madonna' gives an inside view into Madonna's world. The film spans the tour from beginning to end and gives glimpses of a world that most stars of Madonna's calibre would rather their fans didn't see.
Whether you believe that this is how Madonna really is or not is irrelevant. The film takes its audience on such an emotional and musical journey that you are left totally spellbound and breathless by the end of it -a Wizard Of Oz for the 90's; and you can't help but liking Madonna just that little bit more by the end of it too. (Just don't let Granny watch that performance of Like A Virgin about half way through the movie though!)
