Last Tango in Bradford is by no means Steve Ellis' last gig. Pure enjoyment. His voice never looses its amazing power, sensuality and all the feelings that lyrics command. All these years down the road and here is the best and most underrated singer this country (and beyond!) has ever produced still delivering big time. A must have.

If you're bored of the average soap operas, movies and albums then look no further, because R. Kelly has combined all three into this brilliantly entertaining 'Hip hopera' (more like RnB opera, but that wouldn't sound as good). Whilst it is debatable as to whether this is truly a 'modern masterpiece', it is certainly two things; different to any other DVD I have watched, and extremely funny - which makes it worth the £7 in my books. You can watch this over and over and it will still have you laughing and even singing along. Sure it's a bit silly, but remember not to take it too seriously and you'll love it. My only complaint is that it didn't come with the next 12 chapters! Note: adult themes from the start and throughout.

This 1971 DVD is an interesting historical document. It should be an interesting musical document too, and to a certain extent it is. Unfortunately, the producers seem unable to believe in their own product; that is, believe that seeing and hearing Bluegrass musicians could be enough to hold anyone's interest unaided. Despite the presence of some classic artists and classic line-ups, the camera is constantly cutting away. Performances are interrupted by voice-overs, or simply cut short. The prize example is the opening number, which features Don Stover, one of the most interesting banjoists of that era, whom I never had the chance to see live. Released in 1991 along with his album of the same name 'Diamonds & Pearls' is essentially a collection of some of Prince's most impressive videos of the 90's. All of the 'Diamonds & Pearls' era vids were well choreographed and stylish and easily rank amongst Prince's best, and here they are all compiled along with some brief live performance footage from Prince's equally as impressive Diamonds & Pearls tour. The majority of the videos are excellent with 'Gett Off' and 'Cream' being the main highlights, the latter in it's full un-edited glory and lasting just under 10 minutes.
