Any enlightened fan would realize that by some of the artists featured. Even though these are not original Motown recordings and yes, many sound very much alike due to being cheaply recorded (hence the drum machines and lack of real instrumentation) and the fact that many of the songs themselves are less than memorable, this is a wonderful HISTORICAL DOCUMENT of the Motor City experience. Hundreds of artists, at the time without record company contracts, were brought together and given a second chance at recording.
