The good bits in this movie are all in the visual part. The camera work is stunning and the wildness of Alaska hits you hard.
But I couldn't imagine that anyone was as perverse or plain dumb as this character. Surely on your first day in a snowbound winter landscape, you don't willingly jump into a river? This and other acts of stupidity left this viewer totally out of sympathy with the character.
Then there is the way he patronised everyone who helped him. These people were kind to a smartass boy who repaid their kindness by leaving them to sort out their own mess, which he had usually made worse. He would listen to other people's problems and then say "good luck, I'm off to have an adventure". I couldn't wait for a bear to eat ... Read More:

My 12-year-old daughter and me are addicted to the Gilmore Girls. We have seen the first six seasons without missing a single episode and we are eagerly awaiting the seventh. The relationship between mother and daughter makes you feel a warm glow. The grandparents are great fun as are all the other secondary characters. But best of all is Lorelai: sweet, independent and great as a mother and friend.... lousy as a daughter, though. You will love it. Be careful: it is seriously addictive.

Watched this film on a flight to Las Vegas which gave it some entertaiment value. Although it is highly unbelivable and its all been done before, no better that your average rom-com. As long as you bring your imagination with you it is fun. Bonus points for Aston Kutcher he's always entertaining. Average film worth watching on a girly night in but don't go out of your way. Ending bit is quite funny though.

I seriously doubt that I have to take the time to explain what Family Guy is, as the chances are that you - like so many others are a fan, or at the very least have seen some episodes.

In my opinion this second season of Family Guy considerably improves on the first, which is not something that's easy to do as season one was nothing less than fantastic. But Family Guy season two is packed to bursting point with hilarious and sometimes outrageous jokes. Seth MacFarlane never fails to deliver pure comical entertainment. It's good to be given a daring show that not afraid of offending people (on that note if your easily offended then you probably should avoid Family Guy.) I would have to say the best episode in the season is "Let's go to ... Read More:

Thoroughly enjoyed this third in the series. Only wish there was a 4th, 5th and more. Bourne is the underdog with the edge over his pursuers, and they continually underestimate him. Typically. Only film I'd maybe rate this against is US Marshalls, with Tommy Lee Jones and Wesley Snipes, but Bourne is better, by far.

Beautiful, sensual, violent on the senses and serious. Additive, riveting and gorgeous. If you want a real period drama, this really is it. The acting is superb, the camera work beautiful and the scene when Richard Armitage stands at the window and says 'look back at me...' oh my. Viewers you are in for a real delight. A first class production. You will want to watch this all in one sitting!

Petend you have kids, I bought this because I am a bagpuss fan and even though I am 36 and was single when I bought this I was not discouraged. It brought back my childhood and triggered many great memories of the 70's when my late mother would watch bagpuss with me, heck even my dad likes it. It even helped me nab a girlfriend as after I told her "just because I own the Complete Bagpuss on DVD, I am not a soft touch!" mind you As I work in a nursery this may play a Part.
Bagpuss is Briliant

In addition to all the positive things about this DVD I would just also like to mention two drawbacks:
1.) If you don't like the Walt Disney singing parades, this is a no for I'm afraid it contains quite a few
2.) The stories do NOT come to a natural and obvious end but rather one leads on to the other so you do have the debate as to whether the child may not watch a little more ...and just another little more ...

After finally convincing my brother to watch an episode of Family Guy, infuriatingly it turned out to be this one. It's really not up to the standard I've come to expect of the series' writers, it was pretty lame, really, obviously written by Star Wars fans for Star Wars fans. Now he refuses to watch it at all and thinks I'm daft for liking it. Crud.

This is a brilliant film, up there with his "Pan's Labyrinth" and even better than "Devil's Backbone" which it in some ways resembles - a ghost story involving a children's home. A film about the fierce love between parent and child, which transcends death. I loved the bittersweet ending. It is not a horror film, so if you like horror movies, choose something else.
