The episodes of this series are fairly entertaining but the antics between Dan and everyone who hates him are getting a bit repetitive ( I find that the episodes I like best are the ones where Dan is seen least) and Hayley and Nathan's hot-cold marriage has become as bland as the music playing in Peyton's club. The most believable and memorable scenes were between Peyton and her birth mother, Ellie.I was hoping to see more basketball action in this season but there wasn't much really.
The rivalry between Brook and Rachel made for good viewing and helped sustain my interest.

I was really excited as I put this into my DVD player because winter is really drawing in now and I was looking forward to getting a nice warm polo neck with a pretty pattern to go with my new scarf and mittens. What I got instead though was a thin slice of banality.

Jumper has an excellent tag line: Unpopular youth, played by Hayden Christensen, discovers he can instantaneously teleport to anywhere he wants (the 'jumping' of the title') and decides to use this esoteric skill to rob banks. But the reality of the execution though was something of a let down.

Sure it starts off ok. We see the main character some time after his initial discovery having created a good bit of wealth and living the high life. He is then discovered ... Read More:

I usually enjoy Shakespeare "done modern" but this was awful! It was Shakespeare meets Westside story, Moulin Rouge and greasy was the word that came to mind. The film kept to the traditional language of Shakespeare but it does not suit American accents. The words grated, uttered thoughtlessly for the most part from the mouths of Hawaiian shirted American gang youth. Even Peter Postlethwaite seemed preoccupied with maintaining his American accent over what he was saying.
Dicaprio and Clare Danes however do make a charming couple and you cannot help wishing that their love would survive the maelstrom of brutish hate that the two families have for each other. The film gets its reputation for being "good" from this simple alchemy and possibly from the ... Read More:

I have to start by saying that I enjoyed this film way more than I expected to. Not being a fan of Westerns or Russell Crowe, I wasn't expecting great things, but this film surprised me by keeping my entertained and completely 'in' the film the whole way through. The scenery and direction is superb, the acting is mainly good, the story, although implausible at times, was fun and interesting enough to keep me watching and the overall package makes for two hours of film viewing that is not too heavy and with plenty of fights and action sequences to boot. The actor who plays 'Charlie' is especially good and Crowe even managed to endear himself to me this time. For fans of the genre you may either love this or be disappointed depending on your take, but for everyone ... Read More:

As other reviewers have noted, there was a general feeling of unease when a small, relatively unknown actor was slated to be the next James Bond. We needn't have worried, however, since all such concerns are dissipated in the first few moments of this latest addition to the Bond stable.

The opening sequence in grainy black-and-white is completely unexpected, beautifully handled and surprisingly gritty, setting the tone for the rest of the film. Within the first quarter of an hour or so we have had one of the most imaginative openings to a Bond, followed by one of the finer title sequences, topped off by a vertiginous (especially in Blu Ray!) chase sequence which may have you gasping.

Excellent stuff from director, cast and crew. I had hoped that ... Read More:

Sam (Clarke) is released from prison 6 years after he killed Trife. Now old faces are warning him that someone is going to hurt him and his mother.

Kidulthood powered itself to the media's attention with its strong and controversial look at a group of young youths in London and its sequel Adulthood continues the look at what is regarded at a stereotypical teenager.

Clarke stunned critics with his hard approach to real life Britain in his first film and how the general public react to seeing teenagers who wear a hoodie and swear every other word. Though Clarke's view of the stereotype is exaggerated he has hit the nail on the head with the behaviour of modern teens. The way teens treat adults and how teens are so inconsiderate of others is a very accurate portrayal ... Read More:

Having seen both the original and "extended" versions of The Secret, I agree with others the original edition with Esther Hicks (before she was cut out by Rhonda Byrne) is definitely the better of the two. It's worth noting the extended version doesn't contain more content, just another speaker substituted in for Ms. Hicks who doesn't actually add to the DVD one way or another. As mentioned by others the law of attraction is not a newly discovered concept and hardly a "secret", and yes there's more to it than this DVD would have you think. This program treats the subject matter superficially, and I found the special effects in the beginning to be cheesy and over the top. The Secret is heavy on hype and promise, but falls short on delivery.

I've read about the Law of Attraction and other ... Read More:

I remember watching this as a kid and recently saw parts of it again on the History channel and have found it incredibly moving - just the theme music with a series of shocking pictures culminating in the gaunt face of a young girl at the end, is truly chilling. The series examines every aspect and angle of the war in great detail. It does not shy away from some shocking footage and yet never feels like it is revelling in it. It is a serious historical work and yet it never drags. Watching it again I was struck by how many of those interviewed are long dead now, and how lucky I have been to never experience anything like the suffering they endured, and how future generations should never forget the price of their freedom.

I am a beginner to Pilates and because of a lower back/hip problem, I had to ease off yoga and find an alternative and this has certainly worked for me. I've been practising this dvd for 2 months now and have noticed a marked difference in my torso - it is toned and stronger. The pace is slow but effective. I like the way you can work at Darcey's pace and never break out in a sweat! The music is calming and really quietens the mind. Having the exercises in sections is a good idea as you can focus on areas you want to if you're pushed for time. The style is not gimmicky and I like Darcey's style and instruction.
