My 2 year old adores this film and will watch it every day if allowed!! She mimiks the penguins walking (Hilarious!) and even sings along to a lot of the songs. Even though I've watched it with her hundreds of times I haven't tired of it. It is truly a great movie.

I dont know about you but when I watch a movie I know when I have been impressed because time just flies by.'La Vie En Rose' is a movie that would have failed if the role of Edith Piaf had been badly played.Without question the performance of Marion Cotillard is fantastic and she fully deserved her best actress Oscar.It is a display of passion,desire,heartbreak and turmoil and it is brilliantly executed.Some of the scenes as Piaf enters old age are superb.I say old age but Piaf actually wasn't that old when she died but Cotillard captures her stoop,her fragillity fantastically well. This film appeals on so many levels - it's a farce, a sophisticated comedy, a gangster movie, a musical - some classic lines and probably a good contender for the best last line ever. Please watch this, it's that good.

Cars is a brilliently delightfull film. From the moment you watch ti you are left with the feelings of affection for this car. its a really entertaining film were you feel happy one minute and sadered the next. A remarkable film that both adults and children will enjoy.

I missed the entire Battlestar Glactica oeuvre when it came out (indeed the original series as well) but read so many reviews about the allegorical sophistication of BG, I thought I'd better check it out. The obvious place to start is the 2004 mini-series, assembled on DVD as a three-hour feature (and selling for less than four quid on Amazon as I write). Aficionados claim the series doesn't get into its stride until later, but this was for me an impressive opener. The human species is attacked by the Cylons, a robot-race that comes in two distinctive designs; toaster-on-legs and hot, hot humanoid. Certainly one of the best accounts from the infantryman's point of view. Great for training too, at least in terms of putting people in the picture. The case specifies that subtitles are available. Why then is it impossible to activate this most useful feature?

I was a latecomer to 'House' but better late than never. Hugh Laurie plays the miserable yet brilliant Dr. House with some style. You almost forget he is a Brit. I have watched many hospital dramas - ER, St Elsewhere, Casualty, etc, as there is something uniquely engaging about the medical environment. Those series have been mainly dramas while House is something else. It's a part drama, part sit-com and part geeky medical show. The basic premise involves patients being admitted to Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital with very mixed symptoms that complicate the medical diagnoses. i've loved the Jonathan creek series right from the beginning, Alan Davies plays such a good part, along with Caroline Quentin, they go together like bread and butter, the banter between them is so amusing, never quite getting together, this box set was a very good investment as i will have hours and hours of my fave viewing for years to come. the story lines have all been good, and i love the explanations at the end of each programme.

Malkovich is once again mesmerising as the tragic but memorable Lennie, a simple minded man born into a cruel world. Senise plays his inseparable buddy and guardian, George, and you feel for him as he struggles hard to cope with looking after the difficult Lennie, mainly because the harsh world doesn't have the time or patience to understand such a man whose behavior can be a little worrying and eccentric. The stretched out wheat fields make a great movie landscape and the mood of the era is quite well defined, it seems. This season is hilarious when i saw season two i loved it and i just had to get this as well and i wasn't disappointed,a very funny season the humour great and also the episodes in it are yes' great.12 lewd' crude' but fantastic episodes.A funny series that truly redefines adult comedy.
