The whole film is nice since the start, but the ending part is a bit thin. may be it is because the film time is limited. over all good film!

Fellow Trekkies this is how it all began Kirk and crew set on thier historic five year trek across the stars.

Logical Spock, Chief Engineer Scott (Scotty), and the other famous crew members.

This boxset contains ever episode of Star Trek TOS apart from the original pilot which Captain Pike I found the lay out of the episodes rather confusing but die hard trekkies will enjoy the set anyway.

This is only the first season there are two more this has over 3 hours of special features never seen before interviews and previews.

All true trekkies should own all three seasons.

Really "The Five Doctors" should be dreadful; Who, at the time it was filmed, was in a slump and, frankly, the series' scriptwriters were struggling to come up with a script that would do one Doctor justice. Watch "Timeflight" or "Arc of Infinity" to see how poor the series could be. But this show really hits the spot: a silly but action filled plot penned by Terrance Dicks makes sure nostaglia is evoked by its clumsy but addictive plot hooks.Despite Tom Baker's refusal to take part and the fact Hartnell had died this feels a worthy celebration even though it is really only 3 and bit Doctors.

Okay, it includes Elizabeth Sladen clinging onto a side of a hillock acting her pants off to convince us she is in mortal danger; granted it contains a very, ahem!, idiosynchratic ... Read More:

Special effects should be convincing, even when this was made, but relying on an upside down turned car and mashed tatties and dodgy miniatures spoils the story. As if aliens are going to travel all this way after kidnapping pilots and sailors just to have a jam session on top of a mountain with a hippy scientist and his organ. Like Jean Michel Jarre and ET having a duet. Its silly. Aliens also are supposed to be green and not like the ones here. Aliens are hardly going to visit us if this is what we think of them. Unless they are the For Mash Get Smash aliens which is where the mashed potato could actually mean something.

Series 4 of the new Doctor Who has been in my opinion, one of the finest series ever. David Tennant remains as brilliant as ever, and if anything changes, it's that he can only get better as time goes on. Catherine Tate, has surprised and amazed me, with her portrayal of Donna Noble in this series, making the character such a credible, efficient and lovable assistant to the Doctor.

All this excellence continues in this fine volume of the fourth series, as Russell T Davies revives another old villainous race from the Doctor's past, introduces more allies and facts from the Time Lord's past (the older series to be exact) and includes some more good old interaction with one of history's greatest figures.

To start of, we have (essentially) a three-part mini-arc that features the welcome ... Read More:

i simply loved deep space nine, though i don't care for the episodes where they overuse the holodeck or suddenly time travel the main story arc and the characters such as kira, odo, quark are some of the best written sci-fi i've seen, as entertaining as babylon 5 or the new battlestar galactica show

if you like any of those you'll love deep space nine...you don't have to be a trekkie to like it at all [i'm no fan fan star trek te next generation for exampe]

an all deep space nine is THE BEST star trek based show to date in my opinion.

The action of Hayao Miyazaki's latest animated fantasy takes place in an undetermined place and age, though it looks like the late 19th century (allowing for a number of anachronistic details) in a Central European kingdom (the Austro Hungarian empire of the time seems the country where the action takes place, and the book happens in a place called Ingary, though the kingdom in the movie has a large port by the sea, which the Austro Hungarian empire didn't). The story starts with a young woman called Sophie working in a hat factory who is suddenly turned into a 90 year woman through a curse by some witch. She then tries to meet the wizard Howl, to see if he can help her. As it later turns out, Howl faces some curses of its own. The story soon becomes very convoluted, almost impossible to follow it wholly in just one sighting. After ... Read More:

The Matrix Trilogy must be one of the most significant films of our time, and is likely to go down as an all time sci-fi classic along with the likes of Blade Runner. It is obviously laden with symbology fished from a variety of sources, but I wonder if the Watchowski brothers realised just exactly how powerful a metaphor for our reality they were creating.

The central premise that our lives are not 'real' but are steeped in illusion in order that our life force may be fed upon whilst we are enfenced unwittingly like cattle - this is a relevant and powerful message on many levels. It can easily be seen that this is true on a superficial level, with the rampant rise of ultra-aggressive capitalist consumerism, whereby everyone is 'sold a dream' in order to siphon off all income to profit the few, but it goes deeper than that, ...
