Good fourth season except maybe one or two episodes. great characters development, good actions. The show become more mature. The relationship between the characters become interesting. I like the relation between John Sheppard and Rodney Mackay. Many plots have been created and deserves to continue in a fifth season and more. The cast give depth to the characters. congrat particularly to Joe Flanigan and David Hewlett. Now the actors possess more their character and bring a lot to them.
I'm waiting for the fifth season.
I'm sad to know MGM, SCI-FI and producers decided to cancel the show when the current rates are good and the quality become better and against the viewers opinions and petition signed a lot.

Following the hugely impressive 2002 mini-series, Season One, which came out in 2004 started strongly and continued its strikingly retro/realistic look and feel. All science fiction is really about the present and BG in particular has a reputation for intelligent even philosophical allegory of the themes preoccupying modern western societies. Unfortunately this seems to get in the way of telling the tale. Much of the middle of the series was really about US politics, as boring as it was ridiculous. The entire population of the space-bound community numbers is supposedly less than 50,000 making for example a 'press corps' a little unlikely. It would have been much more interesting (and challenging) to explore how this traumatised, barely-surviving ... Read More:

I live in the United States...and couldn't find any of the Christmas specials sold individually here. So imagine how ecstatic I was to discover that I could purchase them even if they're from the UK. So I place my order and wait excitedly....only to realize that when I popped it into my DVD player, that it was incompatible. Why was there no warning to Americans? I understand that this is Amazon.uk...but still, there ought to be a warning telling Americans like me that these DVDs won't work with American equipment. I feel cheated and now there is no way I can send these DVDs back.

As my title suggests I'm in two minds about this film, if you consider the pacing, narrative, special effects and the overall purpose of the film, it isn't very good but I do appreciate its themes and the cinematography and the overall atmosphere that is created.

Carter never liked to do what was expected of him, he tended to follow his own intuitions and it worked for the series making them fresh, interesting and utterly compelling, allowing them to run for so long and have such a devoted fan base. I'm one of those fans, I love the series and appreciated where it was left in the last episode; the date was set, the invasion inevitable, the FBI was overrun with alien agents and our two heroes were on the run. The series was driven by more than just ... Read More:

Season 7 focuses more on finding ways to get home rather then exploration and with the recently used transwarp drive and slipstream drive the crew is ever more closer to getting home.

their are a few episodes worth mentioning such as equal rights for holograms, voyagers return home and rather abrupt finish to the series, the borg and their struggle agains't indiviuals vs perfection and mutilation, and the past present and future when voyager strolls nearby an excited electrical anomily.

This film appeared to be a big mix up of all those zombie films which I dislike but I had shamefully had higher hopes for it because of the good cast. The best bit for me was the car chase near the end which is getting my two stars, the rest was just a big mess with a load of cannibal thirsty zombie punks with tattooes and make up.

Based on the book by George Orwell, this is one of the most disturbing films I've seen n a long time. In fact it is probably more relevant in the UK today than at any time since the novel first appeared. John Hurt is fantastic in a nightmare world of an overbearing government personified in the form of Big Brother staring at everyone in every room. The notion that things we take for granted - real food, freedom of thought, love and families - could one day become forbidden by law is certainly a terrifying one. Cleverly written and realised, cerebral but never boring, there are some creepy images that really stay with you. Mention must go to the scenes in Room 101 and the chief torturer, who is the picture of menacing calm. An all-time great.

Generally this adventure has much to recommend it and does, indeed provide an interesting record of the time in which it was made. I came away glad to have watched it but not clear I would watch it again any time soon. Many things grated with me, in no particular order:

* WOTAN uses the name Doctor Who explicitly several times which I found grating

* The change of companions is abrupt and the story ends just as the new companions enter the TARDIS meaning you miss the trademark 'bigger on the inside' line

* The TARDIS prop is looking very tatty (though the last time I saw the Tennant TARDIS it had a hole in!)

* The last episode has a huge battle scene with War Machines vs. soldiers which is much too long and somewhat ... Read More:

The fourth series of Doctor Who has been perhaps the finest season out of the lot. My main reason for believing that is when I compare this series to the ones before, this seems to have stood out more in terms of overall quality. When judging the series by each episode individually, I've found that Series 4 has been more consistent than anything that's gone before it.

The fourth and final DVD volume of this series justifies my belief. Without doubt, this three-parter is the highlight of Season 4. Collectively and individually, these episodes are real classics and the ultimate way to end this spectacular series. They have everything and features both David Tennant and Catherine Tate at the peak of their abilities.

The first episode, "Turn Left", is truly one of ... Read More:

This season is where one character is lost Kes, who becomes more then who she was and gained a new one in the form of 7 of 9, the defected borg drone. this season is more of a character building season because of 7 of 9.
