It's a good, fun action movie with 2007's best special effect gimmick. Christiansen makes some amends for Star Wars here, but it's Jamie Bell who steals the show.

As mentioned above, the show rocks. Edward James Olmos again excelled as Adama. And so did Michelle Forbes as Admiral Cain. But even though the show is delivered via DVD, I could'nt help thinking it looks and feel as if I'm watching VCD. So my rating is based on the show(content) alone and not on the video quality(DVD).

With the majority of the Goa'uld defeated during the previous season this ninth season sees the rise of a new threat to the galaxy in the form of the godlike Ori. This season also sees changes to the main cast with Richard Dean Anderson leaving the main cast and new faces in the shape of Ben Bowder, Claudia Black (both from the excellent Farscape) and Lexa Doig (from Andromeda) joining the show on a regular or semi-regular basis. This change in cast could have been quite terrible but thankfully Ben Bowder more than fills Anderson's shoes as Lt. Col. Mitchell, the new leader of SG-1, and all the other new additions to the cast also fit in very well. A Very good film but like other reviewers have said the advertising campaign, even the cover art are and were very misleading making you think that this would be a fantasy film full of strange creatures, magic and fairy dust. It is not that at all but rather an emotional tale depicting the friendship and bond between 2 children and the imaginary world in which they create, along with dangerous imaginary creatures and some good sfx when they are used. However the real danger is not something imaginary or mythical and the circumstances shown are very sad- although a bit abrupt and mis-jointed. May be a bit upsetting for younger viewers, and it probably won't hold their attention for very long as there are no fairy tale creatures, my 5yr old loves this ... Read More:

Even if you are you are not a fan of this sci-fi fantasy genre, the special features of this dvd are an oeuvre of its own kind and worth a try. Disc five is a bit redundant because every film has its dedicated bonus dvd.

On this occasion I found myself liking the movie more than the book. What stood out for me as a child was the wolf figure who stated at the end of the film this startling notion that people who forgot their dreams and lost their hopes were easy to control and who ever has the control has the power ... I wondered how that could come about. Now I see that behind the film was possibly a critique on our modern standard of living and the world of Fantasia, a world of the spirit, imagination and dreams does not want to allow it's self to be usurped by mans casual disregard for those qualities. The film asserts that real freedom is the freedom of the mind and to have self belief in the face of astonishing obstacles is the only way to move forward. So where do i begin? First things first; the movie itself is something remarkable and shows one of will smith's greatest and probably best performance he's done. From my opinion, if it weren't for him the movie would of probably been a bit rubbish. When i first saw the film; i must admit, i didn't think much of it but when i watched it again, i was completely blown away. The way they captured the loneliness and sadness of Robert Neville's life is just incredible. When buying the film, just don't expect much of a blockbuster because this is not. Look at the film as how it was supposed to be... ...a one man show. Now your probably wondering why i only gave it four stars. i simply loved deep space nine, though i don't care for the episodes where they overuse the holodeck or suddenly time travel the main story arc and the characters such as kira, odo, quark are some of the best written sci-fi i've seen, as entertaining as babylon 5 or the new battlestar galactica show if you like any of those you'll love deep space nine...you don't have to be a trekkie to like it at all [i'm no fan fan star trek te next generation for exampe] an all deep space nine is THE BEST star trek based show to date in my opinion.

Forget any bad reviews! This film did exactly as it should have done with allowing us to see the lifes and relationship of TVs best SC-FI couple 6 years down the road from after the series ended. Mulder and Scully are back! The story of the film some say wasn't the type of things you would see in the series. Well think again because certain episodes did deal with psychics and neutral paranormal acts such as the episode 'hell money'. This is a brilliant film which really should satisfy any X-Files fan as well as people who want to see more then a little gore and violence. The film also makes full sense without having to see the whole series! 5/5!!!

This is a very, very good TV show. If you have never seen it, it is definitely worth buying for the (very low) Amazon price. I find myself loving this series an inordinate amount, probably against my better judgement. But its charm and wit are more than enough to mostly obscure its faults. It is wonderfully shot. The tone is dark and moody with the characters often shot in silhouette and I love the way in which the set, car and props seem dusty and used. Unlike many current TV shows everything is not clean and characterless and sanitized. It is this that partly makes the show believable. It does not take place in the bright lights of the modern city with its shiny labs and FBI offices but in the more timeless diners and motels of small town America. It is also very funny. ...
