Season 1 of enterprise starts off with a bang like they all do, but this one is not based off your typical trek respect and consistency, but it's replaced with grudges, hard feelings, misplaced loyalty and a better character building season. what stands out is the use of more violence and a better foundation for in house jokes, which work out better then previous albeit more obvious.

Season 1 starts off when a Klingon's ship crashed most conveinently in a corn field, (which also happens to be a joke in season 2) and is being hunted by 2 yellow skinned aliens with red clothes, later known as the Suliban who happen to be a major factor throughout season 1 and 2 but virtually none in 3 and less in season 4. the Suliban were killed ... The story line is loosely based on a book by Alice Hoffman. It is more of the screen play by Robin Swicord who also did the screen play for "Matilda" (1996).

Sisters Sally Owens (Sandra Bullock) and Gillian Owens (Nicole Kidman) are brought up by their maiden aunts after their parents died. They learn of magic and its pluses and minuses by observing their aunts from a distance. They also have to overcome (if possible) the family curse that the gentlemen in their lives are distending to meat an early demise. One highlight of the movie is when we find that the other women in the village really did not distain the Owens's; is just that they have not been invited to help.

The story deviates from the book in the since that they ... Read More:

Pete (Sean Marshall) is a poor orphan. He's been adopted by the mean Gogan family run by the matriarch Lena (Shelley Winters). The Gogans make him work from morning til night and beat him for the slightest thing.

So, naturally, he runs away. Only this time he has help in the form of Elliot. Elliot is a dragon. And while he doesn't always think about what he's doing, he means well. And he really wants to help Pete.

Pete and Elliot happen to find the town of Passamaquoddy on the coast of Maine. Their first trip through town doesn't go well, so they find themselves out by the lighthouse, where they make friends with Lampie (Mickey Rooney) the lighthouse keeper and his adult daughter Nora (Helen Reddy). Dakota Fanning what a performance. Tom Cruise played a great father to her and the two worked together well. Tom should stick to action films as they are much better than his comedy ones. This film is very clever as it appeals to the science fiction fan and a general film watcher. there are clever sci fi bits however the CGI is also good and its a general feel good film. much better than independence day!

I was never a fan of the original, but this re imagined version hooked me right form the start. Its structured as a complete story with lots of strong and flawed characters and plenty of action. There are interesting relationships and B5 fans will undoubtedly appreciate the who-you-are / what-you-are implications of the story.

Acting, CGI special effects, and production are all excellent.

Highly recommended.

When I first saw this I thought the film was pretty silly, but now that I've seen it again I see why it's a true cult classic! Paul Verhoeven of Basic Instinct fame has a strange sense of humour. I love the fact that the film is set mainly in Buenos Aires, and the casting for this movie is perfect. All the actors are "robot-like" in appearance, like they've all had facelifts (they probably have). If you're tired and want a bit of mindless fun, this movie will do the trick.

This is such a fantastic film, unfortunately with a semi identical plot to armageddon, but far more the superior of the two! It doesn't have the stupid unrealistic hollywood love story and it isn't so comercial. I always bawl my eyes out at this film, it's so touching. And unlike other disaster movies - Day aftr tomorrow, i'm looking at you! It's not ridiculous!

Alien, Aliens, Alien3, Alien Resurrection, Predator, Predator 2, Alien VS Predator And Alien VS Predator 2 are all good movies..

Firstly, those who say they are all completely rubbish, with stupid Plots, etc...and anymore rubbish litter from those insane reviewers,
basicly, you dont know what you are talking about, they all have good Story Plots, they are all brilliantly cast, Directed etc.. all directed by different Directors too!

All these are great movies, with good plots and such..

Alien, did have one gun in it..if you cared to notice, although it was a flame thrower, it still counts as a weapon! It had a slow build up to it's sequel's plot,

Aliens.. Plenty of Aliens, Thats great for me, and it worked well becos they came ... Read More:

My brother warned me not to watch this film, so to annoy him I watched it with him. Overall it's well made with good acting and enjoyable. Theres a point in all films like this, that you start trying to guess whats going on. I started throwing suggestions at my brother with everyone came the reply "no it's not as good as that". This carried on untill the end when I could not believe what I saw. This film builds and builds only to ultimately dissapoint. I've warned you about the ending. If your at all cynical stay away, if pap is what your after lap some of this up.

I recieved this season for christmas. I have not been disappointed with it. The storylines are incredible and complicated. Sometimes, you wonder how things can return to normal.

It is compulsive viewing. The picture quality is higher on this series than in any of the previous ones. This is the first series when computer animation is heavily used and it has been sucsessful.

This series really makes you want to buy the next series so watch it or you'll end up with all 7 series. Compulsive viewing and highly recommended.
