I really like this story. As other reviewers have stated it's an Agatha Christie style mystery with the Doctor thrown in for good measure. I do feel that part 1 drags in places - how many shots of Adric stuffing his face or Tegan trying to dance do we really need. Luckerly things really do spped up in part 2. In fact they could have made it a 3 part story for better pacing.

As per usual Peter Davison, Sarah Sutton, Mathew Waterhouse and Janet Fielding provide a very entertaining commentry track. You can tell they do not like this story very much. It's nice to hear actors enjoying themselves rather than woodenly chatting about how great this scene or that actor was.

The extras are up to the high standard we have come ... Read More:

This Doctor Who boxed set comprises of Tom Baker's The Invisible Enemy, and a doctor who spin-off called K9 and Company. This release has been quite controversial for two reasons. The first being the fact that 2Entertain somehow managed to make an authoring mistake, much to the horror of Doctor Who fans, which meant that two scenes on Episode 3 of The Invisible Enemy were the wrong way around - ruining the episodes cliff-hanger. While 2Entertain did offer support for anybody who had purchased a faulty disk (offering a helpline number and an address to send the disc back to them.) The fact remains that not only should this not have happened in the first place (quality control anyone?) but a lot of faulty discs still remained on sale in various retailers including ... crazy, colourful, hard to follow,,all terms read about this film prior to purchase..in my opinion these are all true, but this doesnt make it a bad film. Not all manga reveals itself at the first watch...fans of ghost in the shell could agree to that. The actual story is not too hard to follow, but because of the top quality animation and visual candy being thrown about,,dreams intermingling with reality,,then at first view you could miss some details. All in all i enjoyed this film and would recommend
it,,it reminded me of 'spirited away' crossed with 'ghost in the shell,,a futuristic sci fi cop show but with mad and colourful visuals...enjoy..I only marked it down as it might not be everyones cup of tea..

This is a dark urban fantasy, created by one of Britain's best modern authors, Neil Gaiman. While it was scripted with "younger viewers" in mind (as are many of his stories), there is nothing childish or soft about the story - it portrays a harsh and haunting world just below the surface of what we see every day.

While being at heart a fantasy, this mini-series also casts a revealing light on the casual injustices perpetuated by our society, and forms a compelling social commentary on class and privilege.

This is quite a low-budget affair, and that certainly shows in some of the production, but this sometimes adds to the charm rather than detracting from the suspension of disbelief. By using everyday locations and names in unusual ways, and stringing ... Read More:

DO not expect "the simpsons in space" with Futurama- the humour is more adult and darker, the setting is not cosy, like the simpsons' suburb. I think the feel of the show was founded in the first episode with Fry walking into a suicide booth, thinking it was a phonebox. The animation is excellent-3D is mixed with Matt Goerning's distinctive style, making the show very appealing visually (except the bits with Zoidberg in- he's intentionally disgusting).
The sci-fi references are numerous, but you don't have to be a big sci-fi fan to enjoy Futurama, in fact, you can laugh at the genre with this show. In the audio commentary (which is availible on every episode and is very good) Goerning explains that the futurama universe is a mixture of dystopian and utopian elements (both are lampooned ... it is a fabulous tour de force of an episode and Catherine Tate is the BOMB she is so fantastic and is hilarious...unlike some of the previous episodes i can watch this and it gets better every time(seen 8 times now)it has a great villain for Donna and the doctor to face and all my family managed to sit down and watch it and ENJOY it.
Sarah Parish makes a great arachnid (haha)i want an action figure of her on my shelf(why no box set of the figures any way?).
i'm glad that Donna made her come back in series four(which is the best series so far(only 3 episodes to go))Catherine and David are really competitive with their acting which makes the chemistry on screen an excellent watch.
i love this special but unfortunately series three didn't have all the episodes reach the same standard(gridlock...c'mon:/),. ... Read More:

Make no mistake about this - ' Provided you don't Blink ' you should enjoy it.

The story line is ramped up so much I had to replay several sequences again as twist and turns are all over the shop.

Without a doubt the strongest story is ' Gone Part One / Part Two ' and at times its very chilling indeed.

Conchita Campbell who plays ' Maia Skouris ' is exceptional and the ' Gone ' story line revolves around her.

In fact this story gets to the whole heart of the complete series

This episode reinforces the "ripple effect" and when you think about it - you really have to wonder if this ever became ' Science Fact ' then there is great danger in playing God.

4400 - Series 4 - will be released in the UK on 30 th of June 2008 but sadly there will not be ... Read More:

'The Empire Strikes Back', the second of the "old" Star Wars releases, is likely to be the darker of the collection, yet at the same time, the most accomplished in terms events. Their are many well shot scenes that are so cleverly edited, and the early fight scene on the snow planet between the rebels and the empire is superbly shot.

It's only my opinion though, but I've always felt the ending shot of this film is incredibly weak. Not longer after Darth Vader has confessed his relationship with Luke, we're still in alot of tension and the atmosphere is quite mellow, yet in a matter of minutes, all this is turned around so we can have a shot of Luke, Leia, and the droids gazing out of their cruisers window with a big smile on their face, just to make a "happy ending". This is surely un-appropriate, and dare I say it, a "To ... Read More:

These two films are briliant because their not from the point of veiw that aliens are big scary monsters their just normal. Its about how aliens are just trying to live their lives on Earth. Will Smith is great in the films aswell as he brings some real funny moments but the one liners and reactions of tommy lee jones are the best. Loads of extra stuff aswell. Including how all the aliens were made because their not all fake looking CGI things. The films have got something for everyone.
