The event opened with a match that looked perfect for an opener on paper,JBL went up against john cena in a feud that was boiling over,this was a brawl in truth but seemed to go on alot longer than the 15 minutes allocated to it.That is not a good thing,i liked shades of this match but it went on a bit and it was far too scrappy so i was certainly disappointed. Just finished watching the second season. It's only 15 episodes long rather than the expected 24, because of the writers strike, apparently. Despite that it's still an awesome programme. Season one blew me away, but I'd read that the second wasn't as good. Well, I personally wasn't disappointed. Every episode was superb TV and had me totally sucked in. The acting is as good as you'll get anywhere, and the script is intelligent but doesn't go over the top - if something doesn't need to be said, they don't say it. My only gripe, and it's a small one, is that FNL packs far too many dramatic events/storylines into too small a space. But for a show that never knows when the plug is gonna be pulled, I suppose that's understandable. ... Read More:

To use rugby parlance,this compilation has far too much recycled ball.Spread across 3 DVDs there is an awful lot of duplicated material.The claim is for 270 minutes of highlights on these DVDs I would say almost half is repeated at different points which seems a bit naughty given that there must be a huge wealth of material to choose from.Sure it's great to see France v New Zealand '99 Semi Final but when the same highlights crop up on all 3 discs you feel a bit cheated.Personally I feel that you only really get about one DVDs worth of material here and it seems a lot to spend about £25 on.ITV should take a leaf out of the team that produces the Lion's tour DVDs as these present far better value for money.

personally i chose not to buy this, as i already have the 1968 final on DVD anyways, plus the goals from the '99 final are on the treble dvd anyways... i wasn't paying for 3 dvd's just to watch mark hughes socre 2 goals in rotterdam... if like me you have these 2 dvd's borrow the 1991 final off a mate and save your money!!

personally i chose not to buy this, as i already have the 1968 final on DVD anyways, plus the goals from the '99 final are on the treble dvd anyways... i wasn't paying for 3 dvd's just to watch mark hughes socre 2 goals in rotterdam... if like me you have these 2 dvd's borrow the 1991 final off a mate and save your money!!

Totally agree with most of the other reviews.I too bought this to replace my worn out VHS copy and was very disappointed it didn't include the actual Olympic performance.

First of all we should not forget that 2004 was hardly one of the best years for F1. So you can't put excitement in where it did not happen. That said this DVD has much to commend it. The commentator for a start - nice to hear Ben Edward's voice even if he is reading a script. He is very good on Motors TV for the BTTC etc and he plus Wattie made a fine team for that year Sky did F1 in full. Previous videos in this series had some right plonkers... Jon 'No Fun' Woss must have either had a good agent or they let him do it for a laugh... 'Gwand Pwee' anyone? Seriously though, this DVD is a good way of running through the 'best bits' of the year.... lots of on board footage, lots of interviews etc I had not heard before. They captured just ... Read More:
