With the majority of the Goa'uld defeated during the previous season this ninth season sees the rise of a new threat to the galaxy in the form of the godlike Ori. This season also sees changes to the main cast with Richard Dean Anderson leaving the main cast and new faces in the shape of Ben Bowder, Claudia Black (both from the excellent Farscape) and Lexa Doig (from Andromeda) joining the show on a regular or semi-regular basis. This change in cast could have been quite terrible but thankfully Ben Bowder more than fills Anderson's shoes as Lt. Col. I was bowled over by this series. I'd never seen it on TV until I bought it in Thailand (yes an offical copy too). The Thais love the series too right from my 60 year old Uncle to my 2 year old Daughter. This show could run for years.....

This has rapidly become one of the most enlightening and enjoyable purchases I have ever made. I had owned some of the Trials of Life episodes and had always wanted the whole collection in DVD format. As far as I know these are not offered in the U.S.A. So when I found this collection I was ecstatic. I love anything with Sir David Attenborough and to have the whole Trials of Life collection I would have paid at least a hundred dollars, then I saw this. It has, not only trials of Life, but the entire Life Series including the great Life on Earth! I bought it instantly. This is definitely worth the money. You get 24 discs, all great quality and a good looking case!

Whereas Monty Python veered between inspired, lunatic genius and utter folly, this falls into the latter camp and doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath. Overrated crap, and as comparable in wit to the Python's probable low point, "The Meaning Of Life". Execrable.

Being a huge fan of the books, I was sceptical about the films. Sharpe in the books is massive, scar on the face and black hair, with Harper even bigger. However after half the first movie, these issues were soon forgotten. The first movies you can tell were lower budget and not quite up to the standard of the others, but with good acting they got away with it. After the first 2, you see the budget increasing, and with this and a marvellous Hakeswill I really felt a whole new dimension to the novels. Especially at the new price, I highly recommend this series!

Series 9 of Friends begins with Rachel saying yes to Joey's "proposal" at the hospital. It shows Ross and Rachel looking after baby Emma while living together. There are certain memorable scenes in the series including Ross getting hooked on Maple Candy and all six of them trying to win the lottery. This series sees the introduction of Mike Hannigan (Paul Rudd) as Phoebe's boyfriend and Charlie Wheeler (Aisha Tyler) as Joey and then Ross' girlfriend. The season finale in Barbados is probably one of the best two-parters in the whole series. Also, Phoebe's old boyfriend from Series 1, David, the scientist guy (Hank Azaria), returns from Minsk. Definitely a DVD for a true Friends fan.

I'd just like to re-affirm that it does contain all the bonus features, i got my copy this morning. Great quality videos, pretty cool menu screens and the features are great too. I'd advise people to make sure they know things for sure before they go bitching on amazon reviews.
