Love Wire in the Blood. Think it's really intelligent, makes you pay attention. Tony Hill is an amazing character. I'm just wondering why the Texas episode Prayer of the Bone was not included in the DVD, copyright? And could you get it somehow, or would you have to have an American DVD-player?

I would give this 4 1/2 stars if i could. I agree it is not as good as the others, because (as has been mentioned) most of the characters are not as strong as previous seasons. This storyline also contains the most implausable, ridiculous plotline of all the seasons. 24 has always had plotlines which borderline on unbelievable but we let them off because the show is that good. I think we should also let them off here too because the season is great, however there is just too much "oh come off it!!" about this one storyline that you never really forget how silly this is. So we have weaker characters (still strong nevertheless) and an unbelievable plot aspect but apart from that we have a classic 24 with terrific episodes ... Read More:

ITV are to be congratulated on this sci-fi series. I think it borders on 'going where no man has gone before' and has the potential to become a classic. Time/space anomalies, ruptures in the space/time continuum, baddies trying to alter the natural timeline for their own advantage and an ideosyncratic bunch of heroes trying to save mankind. As well as all that it has creatures from the past,creatures from the present and one of the least predicable story lines. If you're a fan of sci-fi or fantasy this should fit the bill. Roll on series 3.

Shame you can't give more than 5 stars because this deserves it. This is one of my favourite series of all time. It follows Horatio Hornblower and his rise through the navy. Ioan Gruffudd is fantastic in the role, starting out as a green 17 year old, he comes aboard ship. At first his is bullied by other crew members, such as Charlie Simpson (Dorian Healy) but his quick wits and couragous nature soon make him a favourite with his shipmates. Never compromising his honour he deals with every situation to the best of his ability. Guest stars actors such as Dorian Healy and Andrew Tierman. Paul Mcgann is, as always, brilliant in his role, as is Robert Lindsay. Kept me awake well into the night, I couldn't wait till each evening ... Read More:

I'm not going to say too much to anyone new to this series. I'll just say that this is just some of the most exciting and best written / acted TV that I've ever seen. Just brilliant.

Whilst the Writers' Strike left this season feeling a little empty, the quality of the show continues to shine through. The conclusion to the Sara Saga is excellently pulled off and will certainly bring a tear to the eye of the most faithful CSI fan. Some of the episodes are a bit poor - such as the story of the young lad who develops breasts - but these are balanced out by the other episodes. Shame there's not as many episodes as there normally are but worth the purchase all the same.

This is a really good special of Battlestar Galactica, but don't buy it if you get the series box sets, as its included in the Series 4 box set as disk 1. Bit annoying as I own both now

This is a great series from one of the funniest shows on TV. Fantastically good and consistently entertaining. Great stuff.

"The Fast Show" is great. This box set is 'brilliant'! But it is not "Ultimate" inasmuch the live shows are missing. You have to buy the "Fast Show Live and Farewell Tour Live double pack" seperately to get "The Fast Show" complete. Or will there be a "The Fast Show : Complete Collection (8 Disc BBC Box Set)" some day?
