I'm not going to say too much to anyone new to this series. I'll just say that this is just some of the most exciting and best written / acted TV that I've ever seen. Just brilliant.

I purchased this entire box set on VHS from Amazon.co.uk a few years ago after seeing episodes of Some Mothers 'Do Ave Em' on the BBC and UKGold channels. The series was going well before I was born as I was born in 1980 and having watched the repeats I fell in love with the series and just had to buy the box set when I found out one was available after browsing the internet! Enjoy again and again this classic, timeless vintage BBC comedy starring Michael Crawford as accident prone Frank Spencer and Michele Dotrice as suffering wife Betty. When I first read reviews on Benidorm I knew I would find it funny and had to buy it. Within the first 5 minutes of watching it I was laughing out loud. The characters and acting are first class. After a bad day at work I was able to switch off and watch a comedy that is so true to life. I was still giggling away to myself the next morning on my way to work thinking of all the really funny parts. I know it's a DVD I will never tire of watching, just like The Royle Family. I went to Benidorm about 8 years ago and even saw Sticky Vicky (she is real). My favourite characters have to be the swinging couple, they are classic. I also loved the Garvey family, I have met many people like that on holiday and in day to day life.

I'm a BIG Harry Hill fan and this is one of the best I've seen. Not too many songs and interruptions from the Harrys. Not too many interruptions from guests. Just great stand up, silly story telling and friendly audience baiting from Harry. Stories include his Nan's trip to the zoo, and her embalmment. What sweets he took on his space shuttle missions. Keeping his tools in the back of his van, and a great new system for comparing marine animals with nuts, fruit and snacks. Whilst the Writers' Strike left this season feeling a little empty, the quality of the show continues to shine through. The conclusion to the Sara Saga is excellently pulled off and will certainly bring a tear to the eye of the most faithful CSI fan. Some of the episodes are a bit poor - such as the story of the young lad who develops breasts - but these are balanced out by the other episodes. Shame there's not as many episodes as there normally are but worth the purchase all the same.

From my 7 year old boy right up to my 77 year old dad, we found this really wonderful. I didn't think we would learn so many new things that are so important to our basic understanding of our world. EVERY SCHOOL should show this dvd to the kids and more than once so that it can be fully absorbed. It is about the core of our existence!

This is a really good special of Battlestar Galactica, but don't buy it if you get the series box sets, as its included in the Series 4 box set as disk 1. Bit annoying as I own both now

This is a great series from one of the funniest shows on TV. Fantastically good and consistently entertaining. Great stuff.

"The Fast Show" is great. This box set is 'brilliant'! But it is not "Ultimate" inasmuch the live shows are missing. You have to buy the "Fast Show Live and Farewell Tour Live double pack" seperately to get "The Fast Show" complete. Or will there be a "The Fast Show : Complete Collection (8 Disc BBC Box Set)" some day?
