All I can say is - brilliant! Great script and acting. Not subtle humour and mainly of sexual nature but it is witty and the exaggeration of various male vs female psychological nuances makes it hilarious... and true! I would say it's an equally great viewing for both men and women. My personal favourite is "lost in translation" affair between Jeff and a stunning foreigner.

I am quite new to Desperate Housewives [believe it or not] and have never actually caught any of the shows on TV. I borrowed Season 1 from a mate and really got into it. I bought Season 2 & 3 myself and I must say up until now,Season 3 is the best in my opinion. I loved the whole Edie/Carlos flirtation,the doomed Gabby/Victor romance and Susans usual dithering between blokes.[Ahhhh I felt sorry for that english bloke Ian but that episode with his parents amused the life out of me] I'm also pleased that Mrs McClusky featured a lot more this series.I always knew she had potential and if you haven't seen this season I won't spoil it but I will never look at chest freezers again in the same light! A great series ! Lewis is a joy to watch as it is packed with superb actors while the editor has done his job to a high standard ! The writing is first rate - it is clear that Colin Dexter is exerting a very positive influence on the proceedings ! Robbie Lewis is a more sombre character now that his wife has died and that his best friend Morse has passed away . Laurence Fox has risen to the challenge and is an excellent choice to play Hathaway - had they wanted a sidekick that was totally different to Lewis then they have certainly picked both the right actor and the best possible character . The Fox clan have made yet another great contribution to detective fiction - just as Edward did in The Hollow and as James did in Death On The Nile . Fans of Laurence Fox ... Read More:

I love this show charlie sheen, John Cryer & Angus are brilliant actors and are hilarious. The Jokes are so funny, the story lines are brilliant every episode is hilarious. I watched the 3 season and the new one on tv and they are wicked and this programmes has some of the funniest one - liners and will make you laugh alot (unlike Juno). A must buy comedy such a brilliant comedy. Buy this and the other 2 you will not regret.

Much of this season is good old reliable ER, well acted, well produced with a good mix of storylines. The characters (mostly) continue to develop in plausible and interesting ways. The return to the Congo is well done and genuinely tense. On the other hand the incident with Romano (I won't give it away) is a real low point and whoever wrote the script for that should have been fired. The aftermath is also silly and unconvicing, and indeed some of it not in keeping with what we know from previous series. But that is only one storyline and there are many more that more than make up for that blip in the producers' judgment. Overall, it may not be as fresh and novel as the first season, but if you're an ER fan then it's well worth buying this season. ... Read More:

Since its release I have heard and read mixed reviews mostly bad, these of course are from fans pissed off at the end of season 9! "The Truth" wasnt a very good or satisfying end to the series, as a hardcore fan I can certainly say. I suppose what people expected was something pretty damn spectacular here with this movie. We should expect that its the X Files for Peets sake. But many of the really cool episodes were written by writers other than Chris Carter, in fact I think you will find if you revise all your Box sets that the episodes written By Carter are the most lame. Kim Manners is working on Supernatural, Spotnitz is mostly on bigger movies while the rest are all over the board from CSI, Bones, the short lived 4400 right up to the new series of Fringe. Two and a half men is in the top 5 of best US comedies together with some other goodies are 3rd Rock from the Sun, Dharma & Greg, According to Jim and now 30 Rock. The series is becoming better and not losing too much with time. They are sometimes doing weirder episodes and not stick with a pre-set script, which is something "Friends" severely suffered from. If have watched many epidsodes more then once, and I am sure you will with this boxset.

This is one of the worst films I've seen in my life!When you are watching it,you absolutely can't stand Jane,who is presented sometimes as a mean and sometimes as an old spinster.The worst thing about the film is the way it was shot.Director did a poor job,especially when characters are walking,or dancing because it's like camera is moving as well,so sometimes it was so bad for my eyes.After you watched this film the only conclusion is that Jane Austen was a sad little creature-a plain Jane.

Chaps - if your girlfriend forces you to watch the horrid 'Sex And The City', then get your revenge and make her watch this. Geared to the male sense of humour, TAAHM is up there with the best of the current crop of razor-sharp US comedies, and is perfect viewing for a boys' night in. The performances are superb: Charlie - the rich, handsome, drunken womaniser; Alan - the divorced, sexually inadequate and broke live-in loser brother; Jake - Alan's lazy, ill-educated and gross pubescent son; Berta - the seen-it-all-before ex-biker housemaid; and Judith - Alan's bitter, selfish and mean-spirited ex-wife.
