Mr Benn is easily one of my favourite children's programmes, short and simple but also magical and truly unforgettable. I never realised that only 14 episodes were made though, maybe it is because time goes a lot slower as a child, that and the fact that by the time an episode was repeated, I must have thought it was a brand new episode but anyway, quality will always be more important than quantity plus it is proof that Mr Benn has great replay value.

Another great thing about Mr Benn is that every episode is almost identical up until the point where he changes into the costume and so I could watch any episode randomly and never be quite sure which costume it was going to be, very clever. AN ABSOLUTELY MAGICAL CHILDREN'S TV CLASSIC. ... Read More:

Fawlty Towers is definitely among the top 5 comedies ever made. This DVD has both series and an extras disc. I have to say, although better than nothing at all (which is what the BBC seems to like to give some of it's classics, i.e. Only Fools and Horses) the extras aren't that brilliant. There's a couple of out takes, which are funny, and brief profiles of the actors. The interviews with the stars are long and, although it was interesting to find out what inspired the series and the characters, I ended up turning them off before the end because I was starting to get a bit bored of them.

The series itself is classic, there's no two ways about it, and most certainly deserves 5 stars on its own. Scenes like "Don't mention the war" and ... Read More:

Prison Break was another of the US TV shows to be affected by the writers' strike. For me though, this was a good thing for Prison Break. I think had this been the full 22-24 episodes it would have dragged. This is something that I think series 2 had suffered from.
Series 3 had a tight, edge of your seat, albeit slightly familiar, story line. You always get to the end of an episode and feel you 'have' to watch the next one. This had me finishing the season after only 2 nights!
For any Prison Break fan this is a must. If you were disappointed by series 2, you will probably have your faith restored here.

Eight 30 minute episodes, expertly structured so that, once you have started watching you just have to go on.

The stories of the three characters, played with astonishing authority by Mr. Lilley, interweave throughout each episode, each more compelling than the last. What amazed me was how different each character was and yet how totally believable: when watching him as Jonah, it is hard to believe that it is the same actor who also inhabits Ja'mie and Mr. G.

As well as being extremely, sometimes shockingly funny, with plenty of quotable lines, the series has more heart than most comedy these days. The relationship between the disruptive Jonah and his remedial reading teacher is deeply touching, beautifully played. All the supporting performances ... Read More:

I just want to tell everyone that the code slip provided within the DVD case is of particularly tasteless scam to collect marketing info (your contact, gender, age etc. details). What you find in the web site after relinquishing the info is shoddy 3-level flash game for kids and material that could be descibed best as marketing material... which is pointless since you already bought the product. (And for reasons unclear to me, you are apparently only allowed 4 logins to this sub-par pile of flash adverts. What on earth is that all about?)

If you do want to see that yourself, I recommend giving bogus information. They scam you, the least you can do is scam them back ;)

The above has no bearing on my opinion of the movie itself. It was a good story and the additional ... Read More:

I totally agree with all the reviews that say stick with it. This is a fun dvd to get fit to. I do this with a friend twice a week and we have both toned up and feel much better for it.

After watching through a couple of times, we decided to stick to one dance over and over first, then added the others one by one as we mastered the moves. It took us about 6 weeks to master all of them but the sequence seems to have been done to warm up with the cha cha cha being the least aerobic, the quick step and jive in the middle give you a really good aerobic workout. The samba is a good cool down routine but I would still recommend doing the actual warm up and cool down as the stretching exercises are invaluable and stop the aches and pains!

I can't wait for the next one. ... Read More:

Why do I pay my licence fee to the BBC so that they can make this utter dross and drivel?? Can someone actually tell me why this is apparently funny? What is there to get??

They try to be surreal, but it's all been done before (Vic and Bob anyone?? The Goodies, Monty Python etc etc) and far better.

Noel Fielding is just about to disappear up his own backside, yep, there he goes, I spotted his hand waving as he went. As for the other bloke, I don't even know why he's in it. Does he??!

Nope, this is about as funny as having an ingrowing toenail taken off with no anasthaetic. Mind you, watching this mind-numbingly boring tosh might just negate the need for it!!

Rubbish indeed from a Russell Brand-alike. Oh, and he ain't funny either!!!!

Season 1 got me hooked, Season 2 made me fall in love and Season 3 just made me giddy. If someone told me this show couldn't get better, I would be inclined to agree. At the end of Season 2, House was shot and he asked to be given Ketamine which would help fix his leg. Season 3 starts off with, what seems to be a completely new House, he's happy and he's walking without an aid and doing his job without Vicodin. This is cool, it shows us just how much the leg problems have affected House and his personality. It doesn't last, as within a few episodes he's back to using the Cane and popping pills every hour.

During mid season House also gains himself a Vogler-esque type enemy, only this time it's a cop, and it lands House in some serious trouble. He's constantly haunted by this cop who insists ... Read More:

I loved everything about this production based on a book I had always meant to read, but somehow had never got around to it.

The series was like a breath of fresh air - an escape from the never-ending diet of real-life violence and murder stories, and the dreaded cheap reality shows that seem to be all pervasive these days. I found myself so looking forward to it, I rearranged my social life so as not to miss it. This is real quality TV, and I only wish there was more of it. This is British drama at its best. Julia Sawalha was absolutely brilliant, as always, and the ladies' costumes were outstanding. I don't usually buy DVD's because I tend to not watch programmes more than once - but this is a classic and I will definitely be watching it again and again.
