First of all, I really can't compete with the first review on here, as it's fantastic, but I really want to praise Betty as well! Although season 2 doesn't have such a strong storyline as season 1, hey, it's still Betty! It's still as funny as ever, Marc and Amanda are still brilliant, whether they're together or off scheming by themselves. There are also some very good and unexpected twists in the story, so stay on your toes or you'll get confused! Although the season finale (what I mean by that is the last few episodes) is a bit disappointing, it's almost virtually impossible to go wrong with a bit of Betty. This is the more "Child Friendly" Spin Off of Doctor Who unlike the adult version of Torchwood, Being a Fan of Doctor Who and Torchwood I thought to give Sarah Jane Adventures a chance and I did and I have always watched it on CBBC, This show has been proven to draw: Child, Teen (Myself being one) and Adults (My Mother Exibit A), Elizabeth Sladen and her Child Companions Maria and Clyde with her adopted son Luke attract Aliens etc. The Series was really good my favourite being Warriors of Kudlak and The Lost Boy, The New Series currently Showing on CBBC is showing real promise even though they replaced Maria it still carries on, If you are looking for a change from Torchwood and Doctor Who or something to entertain you while the shows are on a hiatus ... Forget the Wire, forget the Sopranos, forget the West Wing, all of which have been called 'the greatest TV show in history'. The true deserving winner of that mantel is Mad Men. Created and produced by one of the lead writers of the Sopranos (who incidentally was hired on the back of his spec script for Mad Men), the series unsurprisingly holds the same preoccupation of that show; mainly the seedy underside of the American dream. The true glory of this show is also what may put some viewers off. Everything which exists in the show is underplayed, every scene cariied in small moments which betray the truth of the individual characters. Everything in this show exists in sub-text. This review will be short and sweet. Most of what needs to be said already has been but for one question; Is Dharma real? We have found people in hatches pressing buttons and recording information because they have been told to in the style of Stanley Milgram but are we not doing the same? Don't get me wrong; I'm enjoying it immensely, but are we not being played with in Dharma fashion? The story leaps about with very few answers and yet we keep pressing the button (the play button on my DVD)because it seems the right thing to do. I'm convinced that Lost is produced by The Dharma Initiative.

This is a great boxset and is amazing value for money. Its action packed and hilarious and had me and my sister entertained for hours. It has three complete season and great special features including a hilarious gag real. Great buy.

It's difficult to imagine any dramatisation of 'Bleak House' being better done. The cast is uniformly excellent and the adaptation successfully captures the 'page-turner' quality of the book. Not to be missed.

I absolutely love this show. I think another reviewer said thirtysomethings will enjoy this more and I have to agree. While Life on Mars was brilliant, a lot of the time it did seem to be nothing more than a pastiche of the brilliant Sweeney and Gene Genie nothing more than a piss-take of the legendary Jack Regan. That is not to slag it off LoM was groundbreaking and I adore John Simm and he made Sam Tyler such an empathetic character it was easy to sympathise with Sam's plight. However (deep breath)...Life on Mars is a different kettle of fish altogether. The first thing that struck me was how cleverly it is filmed. The opening scenes of 2008 Alex tacking the demented Arthur Layton who is responsible for putting her into the `coma' are filmed in rather muted ... Read More:

I bought this DVD for my young son when he was two years old, with a degree of nostalgia in mind. I would not have anticipated quite what a hit it has been. The gentle, moral tales have captivated him to an amazing degree. We must have been watching these for a year now and he doesn't tire of them at all. The animation of the pictures is very simple but effective, the music is just wonderful. Unlike some other DVDs I've bought (Trumpton, Clangers) this one has lasted the test of time wonderfully - my only complaint is that the new Gladiator tale jars slightly image wise and leaves utterly unexplained how Mr Benn is supposed to know Basher in the first place!!

Lee is a very underrated comedian but not by his peers ; just listen to any of the big names & they all say he's one of the sharpest minds out there. `Dead Set' is a TV show based around a fictional season of Big Brother during a zombie apocalypse. The remaining contestants as well as some of the production team try to survive in the only place that seems safe - the BB house. I wasn't expecting much from this to be honest. I love zombie films but I despise Big Brother but I watched the opening episode on E4 a few weeks back and by the end I couldn't wait until the next night to watch the rest. I've since bought the DVD and watched it all again - it is that good! I thought as it is based around Big Brother it would probably be tongue-in-cheek and be similar to something like Shaun of the Dead (which I love, by the way) but it was more in the style of 28 Days/Weeks Later with its fast editing, vicious gore and is actually ...
