This was a very scenic DVD for those interested in Skye. It was however not in my opinion for music lovers. The tracks by Runrig and cappercallie were incdental background music.If you are expecting to see footage of the bands..this is not for you!

This was a very scenic DVD for those interested in Skye. It was however not in my opinion for music lovers. The tracks by Runrig and cappercallie were incdental background music.If you are expecting to see footage of the bands..this is not for you!

A very satisfying show/documentary on a famous Country/Folk/Rock singer songswriter. You like "Angel From Montgomery", "Hello In There", and "Automobile"? (The last title is a nice sequeway to his prominently featured 1951 Ford, driven by the star through his old neighborhood). He takes us to the actual sites depicted in his songs, in small towns both inviting and inspiring flight. Rockabilly fans will love watching John and Billy Lee Riley workout on "Red Hot", on stage. I've seen and heard JP in better voice, but that's not deterramt to digging this heartfull opus.

I was a big fan of this band in the 70's and bought all of their albums on vinyl and can remember seeing them live with "poco" as support act. Then .....nothing for about 30 years. However there they were advertised at sage gateshead in concert on 21st march this year. So tickets bought and there they were on stage and sounding better than in the 70's concert! They sounded so good I went on a quest to catch up the 30 or so years I missed out on and what better way than a "live in concert" DVD. This one has all the 70's hits sounding fresher than ever and some newer tracks which are as good as their old stuff. It is the perfect reintroduction to a band who have been criminally overlooked in the uk.It even has my favourite america album track "company" ... Read More:

While hunting through Amazon recommendations, a cd popped up with a striking cover (it was the Kate Rusby album the girl who couldn't fly). After entering her details on itunes and listening to a clip of her voice I was hooked, buying Hourglass, Underneath the Stars, and Sleepless. However it took me a fair while to get around to buying to buying this DVD, it floating around the top of my Amazon wish list for about 5 months. Not sure whether this "live" DVD would disappointed me (having been let down by various musical artists "live" DVDs). I didn't need to worry! This DVD is a treasure to any Kate Rusby fan!
