I have always been a quiet fan of JT. However, this live set really enhances his music. The musicianship is exemplary. It is a real joy to sit down with a glass of wine, and immerse yourself in the show. Moreover, it bears repetition. I heartily recommend this DVD and its successor. Brilliant!

this dvd of the fureys and davy arthur is simply superb. all the songs are great also the instrumentals. camera work is good also the lighting. and not forgetting the boys themselves. a class act from all involved.

Fan of Ritchie Blackmore for over 35 years, I was present at this Paris Olympia show. It was a great performance, a magical concert (watch "Fires at Midnight"). This DVD perfectly captures the atmosphere of this evening and the inspired playing of Ritchie and the whole band.

German TV from 1978. Great picture. Great sound. JM at the top of his game, totally live, absolutely solo. Essential. Indispensable. Get it.

I can't really add to what the other reviewers have already said, I just wanted to add another big plus-vote. A truly superb presentation. My only one slight nag is the you can actually actually hear a change in the sound quality after "Maybe There's a World" and before "In The End", (the sound actually improves). That's when listening in Stereo, I haven't tried it in Dolby surround. It's also a shame there's no accompanying CD as a couple of the tracks on here don't seem to be available anywhwere else.

Zu was great entertainment. Some of the stars were lost on me though. Brian May and Eric Clapton were no better than the resident Guitarist, Ronan Keating could have done better. Pavarotti I thought lost his way at one point but I put this down to his acting ability. I may have missed something. Not a concert I would particulary want to watch again given the choice, but pleased I have seen it. Rent or buy second hand.

The picture is great but in most of the songs the sound is bad when Shakira sing to close to the microphone you just have to turn the volume down because of the noise.

I am Anglo Irish and I used to dance when I was young. I am a pensioner now and have not danced for years but this DVD helped me remember some of the steps and was a great joy to watch and I was even trying to dance before getting out of breath! Colin Dunne is a great teacher and dancer and the music was good. The set was nothing to shout about but it enabled you to concentrate on the dancing. Well worth every penny and if you want to learn how they do it buy this DVD. Thank you Colin!
