All in all, an excellent buy, with Neil and friends braving torrential rain to bring us a great set of songs. I felt Neil's voice was a little under amplified and I hated the 15 minute version of 'Cowgirl In The Sand' which is a fantastic song, but spoilt here by some of the most dreadful guitar passages I have ever heard. They go on for ever and Neil seems to run out of ideas almost as soon as he starts. Don't let this put you off though. It is well worth buying.

Having bought a few Bob Marley videos/DVD over time, I can honestly sit here and tell you that if you buy this one, you will not be disappointed. Fabulous tracks and "videos" (Is This Love is wonderful)and a good documentary which follows on after. Well worth the money, well worth watching and beats everything in its path. It'll make you love Bob and miss him even more (if that's possible).

Although the dvd spec stipulates PAL T.V. settings I had to reset player to NTSC-so if you have a problem with that leave well alone.(I also had to return initial copy as first dvd would not be read at all, however fine when amazon replaced.) Second drawback is that throughout the entire 3 DVD package you have to put up with an intrusive garish border (stating the title; Bob Dylan Transmissions)which reduces the actual screen size significantly. You can get rid of it using the zoom function but the gain in quantity of picture is matched by subsequent reduction in quality. After all that the quality of the performances make this a bargain bootleg for the committed Dylan fan. The 3rd DVD is the Woodstock 94 set-even if you already have it ... Read More:

To say I am disappointed with this concert would be an understatement. It is` curiously uninvolving and the guest performances, except for Sarah Mclachan and Wayne Shorter and great songs are dreadfully rendered by artists who aren't fit to share a stage with Santana and even Carlos's solos cannot save them. The main problem lies`I think with the material which although sounding good on cd does is very commercial and does not translate to the live stage. The production values are extremely high and sound sound quality is generally good, except that Carlos Santana's guitar is not as forward in the mix as it needs to be to lift many of the lacklustre performances.

I don't know what the previous reviewer was expecting, but it was clearly undeliverable let alone undelivered! This is a fine concert, with Greg's vocals sounding fuller and deeper than they were when most of these tracks were originally recorded, and all the better for it - absolutely wonderful. The band are great and the sound quality of this DVD is truly awesome. Greg is relaxed and the crowd are clearly transfixed (the look of joy on their faces during "Pictures at an Exhibition" is clear to see) and the beefing up of the rockier numbers in the set is a great contrast to the more melodic passages. Songs like "From the Beginning", "Take a Pebble" and "Lucky Man" are allowed time to breathe to make you really realise how beautiful ... Read More:

This is filmed in Jamaica in the 70's. It has a classic dub and roots soundtrack... most of it being played live. My favourite bit is when they go into Lee Scratch Perry's Black Ark studio and watch him recording and mixing a track... worth the price alone. I'd give it more stars if I could...
