This DVD is a must for any Seekers fan. The chances are you have never seen these two programmes especially in the UK, I never have. All the big hits are included and a great selection of famous B sides and other fine material. Judith Durham looks lovely throughout (as usual)and sings like an angel accompanied by "The boys" with their impeccable harmonising and instrument playing. The programmes contain nice scenes including one of the group singing Morningtown Ride on an old steam train. The quality of the picture and sound is very good considering they were recorded in the sixties. One is in black and white and the other in colour. You won't be disappointed with this one.

OK I say nicely done it's not great, but it is informative and looks at one of the most fantastic albums made in Rock history. When I say it's not great, it isn't an accurate review of the album and doesn't give an intensive look at how it was made and many contributions from the band themselves. It is a nice documentary if you want a bit of nostalgia or a reflective look back at America's greatest Soft Rock band. The Eagles were kings in the 70s, now watch the DVD and buy the album for a delight and a working knowledge of sheer class in how to make an album. I just wouldn't suggest "Long Road Out of Eden" for that! I enjoyed this and you will too, nice DVD and one that would make a great stocking ... Read More:

I was hugely disappointed when I received this DVD. I have several CDs by MAriza, her voice is truly amazing. Unfortunately in this concert she is accompanied not only by her regular guitarists but also the Lisbon Sinfonietta and consequently the unique, intimate sound of fado is watered down by the orchestral backing. The whole concert is lacking in intimacy and spontaneity, with no real communication between musicians and audience.

I think this DVD is brilliant! Having just started learning bellydance, I felt I needed something to help me practise between classes, and I'm just one of those people who needs to be told to do X move Y tmes- otherwise I'll do so much then think "Oh that'll do!" and wander off for a coffee and a biccy! I swear the woman knows just when I'm starting to slump... So, how does a complete beginner work with this? Well, Jillina starts off with the basic moves and breaks each one down. While hunting through Amazon recommendations, a cd popped up with a striking cover (it was the Kate Rusby album the girl who couldn't fly). After entering her details on itunes and listening to a clip of her voice I was hooked, buying Hourglass, Underneath the Stars, and Sleepless. However it took me a fair while to get around to buying to buying this DVD, it floating around the top of my Amazon wish list for about 5 months. Not sure whether this "live" DVD would disappointed me (having been let down by various musical artists "live" DVDs). I didn't need to worry! This DVD is a treasure to any Kate Rusby fan! Having bought this for a Falco fan and watched it with him for the first time this compilation was a wild trip back into the 80's, in some cases to fashions and camera angles some of us might like to forget! Falco's career spanned 2 decades, although clearly his heyday was the mid 80s, with a few flashes of similar brilliance in 1998 material such as the very retro sounding "Push Push". Unfortunately this career resurgence was cut abruptly by his untimely fatal road-accident, so we will never know what he had to offer as a real come-back. This DVD compilation also features his arguably ill-advised ventures into 130+ bpm Euro Techno, where he looks too mature and rather out of place amongst the 'raving' babes and dudes in all their technicolour ... UB fan, It would also make a nice present to for the people that witnessed the Homegrown Tour gigs in the UK or Europe,The best thing about this DVD is the sound quality,It is absolutley superb,The DVD is a nice package too with Extras like The swing Low bonus track,Hidden Interviews,behind the scenes footage,which is great as it really shows the effort put into these gigs,plus a short interview with world cup rugby winners who attended there Home town gig. This is one of the best DVDs I have ever bought!! I have seen Beth Hart in concert several times and this girl can really sing!!! This DVD is absolutely amazing! Her voice, the lyrics and her intense performance is something special. The music is part rock, part blues and she sings a lot better than Janis Joplin (who she is often compared to). If you're only buying one DVD this year and still haven't bought this one....buy it! You will not regret it. (And while you're at it - you should buy the CD "Leave the light on." Music and lyrics which actually mean something!)

As the previous reviewer says, there is little of Ralph's work available on DVD, and this is a superb recording of a fantastic evening in the presence of the UK's finest singer-singwriter-guitarist. Ralph is perhaps best known for his solo performances, but here he is aided and abetted by musical friends and acquaintances from across the years, who each in turn add value to the performances. A particular high point is Ralph's duet with Cara Dillon. No egos, no showing-off, just fine professional performances from those involved. If you want to see one of the great acoustic guitarists at work, buy this and watch. Then buy some of his CDs and listen!
