This, as you can tell from the two stars, was not brilliant. From the rave reviews I had read I was expecting something that would leave some sort of palpable mark upon me, actually be affecting in some form, however the film essentially is rather dull. The only thing shocking about this is the violence, and then maybe the plot, primarily the violence is not particularily believable and the plot is not explained in the slightest. Now usually this ould not bother me, an avid Lynch fan I am more than happy using the brain I was given, however there seemed to lack a great deal of coherency, the normal became the nonsensical. This a slow film, but an original take on the zombie movie. More of a melodrama stroke love story really, but without the comic potential of Zombie Honeymoon. A couple get stranded miles from no where when their 4x4 gets a flat. The male protagonist is bitten by what originally appeared to be a dead body. He loses all his vital signs and develops a craving for human flesh. Worried about the authorities, he and his girlfriend hide away. Although she is faithful to looking after him (his flesh as started to rot by this stage), he bites her and she follows the same fate. both fight the craving for human flesh with mixed success. Well i first saw the film about 2 monthes ago and at that point in time it was not that great and at this point in time its still not that good even after my friend edd pretendng it was good to get me to watch it. So anyway i watched it and the acting is not great abit like a school play at a primary school and the storyline was obviously concieved whilst on a train. I wouldnt recommened this film. However it is better than the film pulp fiction.
